I must be much easier to please than a lot of the reviewers on this site, because I loved Ravenwood Castle. My husband and I stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and it was so relaxing and romantic. We did not eat at the Castle on Saturday night as there was an 80th birthday going on, but the party... more

If you are looking for the ultimate couple's getaway this is it. It is truly a wonder in itself. Relaxtion is a definite without the everyday hubub of t.v.'s, alarm clocks or phones. The staff is exceptional! The meals are truly divine, be sure to try the homemade pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. Cinderella's Coach House was our first cottage and... more

Let me start the review by saying my husband and I travel frequently including everything from a 5 star hotel to bed and breakfasts. The ravenwood castle was a great experience for us. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The hocking hills overall are just peaceful and worlds away from city life and the hustle and bustle of everyday... more

It was a very pretty place, incredibly nice people, and spacious rooms. We stayed two nights, our first night was in the Sherwood Forest room. It was cute, but a bit too cutesy for two grownups looking for a romantic weekend. The second room we stayed in was the Duke's Dungeon. It was more what we wanted. The food was... more

Our stay at Ravenwood Castle and Medieval Village was delighful. We camped in one of the "Gypsy" wagons, and my children especially enjoyed the unique experience of staying at such an unusual place. It had electricity but no running water, and was quite pleasant. The interior had a high level of finishing and was comfortable but not fancy. It was... more

We visited the castle for a girl getaway weekend. Two of us rented the castle room with the 2 beds and the other 2 rented a cottage. We found it a clean and healthy environment. The castle, setting, and the cottages were indeed reminiscent of a medieval village, and it was quiet and beautiful. I appreciated the creativity of the... more

My fiancee and I wanted to spend a romantic weekend in the Hocking Hills area and Ravenwood sounded like it fit the bil. Bill it was. Neither of us thought the accomidations were worth the price being charged. We stayed in the main building, just off of the dining hall. Hard to be romantic when you could hear people directly... more

My husband and I recently stayed at Ravenwood Castle (May 2006) to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived early at noon (check in is at 4:00 p.m.) but since our room was ready we were able to check in. We had lunch at their Tea Room and it was delicious and relaxing. We strolled along the path in the woods with... more

Went here for my wife's birthday. We rented the Candlemaker's Cottage. My wife was excited, expecting a castle-type setting with horses and knights and employees in medieval outfits, but it's nothing like that. There is a castle made of cinder blocks with nice decorations inside - lots of wood paneling and such, but really not what you want from a... more

My husband and I booked a cottage at Ravenwood because we thought with it being rated a Top 10 B&B in various reviews and rating scales, we were in for a romantic weekend. Wow, was this NOT what we expected! They state that we had a whirlpool tub, tv/vcr and a video library to choose from. The water smelled of... more
