This place is a perfect get away for the family. We are seasonal campers at Happy Hills. This is our third year staying there. Darren, Lorraine and their kids are very nice, respectful, and they stay on top of everything. I was reading some of the reviews and I have to say that I understand the pool is far...... but... More

We took a family long weekend away from the hustel an bustle of our lives to Happyhills campground. Never camped there before but it sounded nice an the price was good. There were many planned activities for the kids an adults to do together. Our Campsites were newly made this year and it had rained heavily the day before we... More

Let me say first that, all-in-all, my family had a good time at our recent weekend camping trip to Happy Hills. We had great weather, enjoyed the natural Autumn beauty of Hocking Hills and enjoyed interacting with the other campers. We're generally pretty easy-going and actually like campgrounds like Happy Hills that have a retro feel. Gem mines, planned activities... More

As owners, it's always nice to have a camper let you know personally if something needs attention before writing a review. If we are notified of a problem, we try to address it immediately, as our sign in our bath house states, "our goal is to provide you a clean bath house, if there is anything that needs our attention,... First let me say this is a campground not a resort. We camped here in August. We came for the Parade of the Hills Festival in Nelsonville. It IS in the Hocking Hills and the drive to the caves is not very far or difficult. We do A LOT of camping. If you are "camping" then you've brought you're own... More

I really wish when people took time to provide a review they had 100% accuracy. I am going to respond with facts on this, starting with the owner's name is Daren.....so here I go.....With the name, Happy Hills Campground & Cabins, it does not imply we are a resort. We are a campground, not a resort as mentioned in this... More

this campground is not close to Hocking Hills and is over priced. The website said our sites 26 and 27 were shaded but they werent, at all and they arent very level. A lot of activities- but for a fee which could add up quick. Owners were around during the weekend but on Sunday closed up shop sometime in the... More

We are located in the Hocking Hills, Hocking Hills is a very large area and covers several miles & counties. We are 15 miles from the cave area and people often refer to that as the Hocking Hills, but, that is just one of several points of interest here. Campsites 26 and 27 do have shade, but it depends on... More

This is by far one of the best campgrounds our family has stayed in. The hospitality of the owners and overall content setting they have created makes for a pleasant stay. The sites are kept clean and the bathhouses are extremely well-kept. We would recommend this campground to anyone who wants to get away for the weekend and enjoy some... More

We stayed this past weekend at Happy Hills. The owner was very friendly and was willing to answer any questions we had about the area. The location was not the most private, but most people around us were friendly and the sites were large enough that we stayed away from the family that was rude. Most of the families also... More

We had a wonderful time at Happy Hills. The owners and staff were excellent!. As new campers we forgot some items and they let us borrow a few things to help make our stay better. The park was quiet at night and very clean. We highly recommend this campground, we had lot 45 and it looked out over the top... More

This was not horrible but not great. The beach was disgusting and full of goose poop. The lake was gross too. The playground was a joke. It was a couple swings, a tether ball and a plastic toddler play set. The wood was not readily available. It was delivered to us well over an hour after we bought it. We... More
