This campground is wonderful for children and adults as well. The sites are shaded and the bath house was always spotless. The enormous pond allowed my children to play all day long without mentioning boredom. There is a Kroger 3 miles away which is very convenient and the actual town of Mt. Gilead is very pretty as well. You will... More

What a great find!! Camped here with my three children and husband for 5 nights. Never a dull moment. Beautiful facility, clean with shaded trees (site #140). Kids were entertained and exhausted by the end of the night. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Even the dog enjoyed the shallow creek at the entrance. This is truly one of our... More

We camped with our 9 and 11 year old boys and we never had a dull moment. It was our first time staying at Dogwood Valley but it will not be our last. The boys loved the pond and it's many activities. I loved the heated pools, camp store, clean bathrooms and friendly staff.

I took 2 eleven year old boys camping for 2nights. They chose a primitive site along the creek where we parked our car on one side of a small bridge and hauled our things to the camp site. The only time that was inconvenient was at night when i wished i had put the food in the car due to... More

My family loves this place. We have camped in lots of campgrounds but this is our most favorite. They have so many fun activities . There is not a bad site in this campground. When you pull in you immediately feel relaxed. The staff are all super nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The... More

We have traveled to campgrounds throughout the south and midwest, and Dogwood Valley Camping Resort is on my list of favorites! I only wish we lived closer, because we would be there often! Since we have a very small RV, I first look for clean bathrooms, and those were excellent! Next, I consider the beauty, shady areas and recreational facilities.... More

My family has been camping several times a year every year since I was a young boy. Now my wife and I have two kids of our own and decided it was time to upgrade to a pop-up camper. To try out our new (to us) camper, we decided to do a little weekend getaway without the kids. We've been... More

We have been camping at Dogwood for the last couple of years - and after many years of pulling our camper from one location to another we decided to bite the bullet and become seasonal. We did this at Dogwood because our kids love the activities, boats, swimming, water slide, fishing & trails. All free except an occasional couple of... More

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I along with my daughter and two grandsons had the opportunity to stay in a cabin at dogwood valley. I have to say my grandson enjoyed all the free paddle boats canoes and kayaks. I even learned how to canoe, we really enjoyed heated pools for free! All the staff were very... More
