This motel is somehow absolutely in the middle of nowhere, even though it's only a few hundred yards from I-280 and I-80. It seemed like a strange place for a motel, but I suppose they're counting on travellers like me who just need to crash somewhere. Stopped at this motel during a road trip from Niagara Falls to Detroit. We chose to stop because we have always had good experiences staying with Super 8. The girl on the desk was very friendly and helpful but was only able to offer us a smoking room which we agreed to take because we had been driving for hours... more

The very cheap web rate was good. People were nice enough. Everything else was very sub-par. "New in 2004" does NOT mean new but perhaps "recently acquired" or something. So misleading! Did I mention it was dismal? I suppose it was safe enough, if only because it was so isolated. (bring your own food/snacks/etc.) Smokey/bowling alley smell in my non-smoking... more
