We stayed here for our 53rd anniversary and could not have found a more perfect place. We came to see the historical sites around Marietta, but the House on Harmar Hill became the featured attraction. The Victorian Home is beautifully decorated and even comes with an Edison wax cylinder music player. The owners are very helpful and fascinating people. The... More

A completely refurbished 1901 house with airconditioning. Run bu an amazing and interesting woman, great breakfast, fantastic view. most welcoming. A little hard to find ,but worth the trip. We watched boats glide down the river and had a most restful night.

If your'e looking for a place to crash with TV, wifi and all kinds of gadgetry look elsewhere. If you want to be treated like visiting dignitaries, have great food for breakfast, a superb room, a magnificent view of the Ohio River, and make friends with very interesting and down to earth proprietors this is the place for you. We were in town for a family visit and selected this B&B over the chains in order to try something new and to support local (small) business. The house is perched on a hill overlooking the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers so it is away from the general traffic noise and the view is excellent. The wrap-around porch is a wonderful... More

My wife and I stayed at the house last weekend and we were very impressed with the hospitality of Judy and Doug. The view from the porch is beautiful and very relaxing. Even before we arrived, the owners had already left a welcome note on a board at the entrance. I would strongly recommend this B&B if you are looking... More

We decided to take a little 2 day getaway and found this gem on top of a hill. The views are wonderful, the architecture is great and the rooms very spacious. Judy greeted us at the front door when we arrived and gave us a tour of the home. She told us to feel at home and we did. The... More

Six years ago we visited the House on Harmar Hill, and we've been going back every year since. Judy and Doug go out of their way to make our stay a memorable one, and the house is magnificent with spacious rooms furnished with antiques. They have lovingly restored this old gem, and what a gift their attention to detail is... More

We spent two nights at the House on Harmer Hill and our stay was delightful. Our room was beautiful and the entire house is a step back in time. Hosts Judy and Doug are as pleasant as their home and they tell a marvelous story of the history of the home. They are a wealth of information on the area... More

A beautiful 111 yr. old, 3 story Victorian mansion awaits you. Sitting atop a bluff overlooking Marietta. You are 2 blocks from a officially designated "Lookout point", complete with historic marker. The house is beautiful inside & out. Perfect for a B & B. The woodwork inside is not like you find nowadays, its much more ornate. The rooms are... More

There are Bed and Breakfasts and then there's the House on Harmar Hill that is perfect in every way. Doug and Judy are as unique and interesting as their beautiful, old Victorian "painted lady" 111 year old house overlooking the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers. We were there in early September and even with injuries to both her hands, Judy still... More
