From the moment we got there until we angrily left our first night there,it was the worst experience.Faculty was rude, camp site was a small rocky uneven pile of dirt stacked next to 10 other sites, excessively fined for going off trail($135),quiet hours started at 10p and we were threatened to be fined the minimum ($135) AGAIN for talking in normal voices.... This campground is fairly nice. Port-o-poties but we knew that going in. No where to shower, but very rustic and fun to be at. The only thing I didn't like is that the campsite seemed to be not well maintained. The firepit was shoveled out and rusted, so it made making a campfire difficult. Also there aren't a lot of... We stayed in the primitive camp site. It was quite a walk back to our site but it was worth the walk. It was very peaceful and secluded back there. The bathrooms were clean and kept up. We really have no complaints. We had to drive roughly 20 minutes from the site to get cell service but it was kinda... More

We stayed at the riverside campground, which is just down the hill from the "Fun Center." First and foremost - if you want an actual riverside campsite, you need to specifically say that and pay extra. Otherwise you'll get stuck in a random interior site close to the river, but not actually on it. The website is kind of awful.... More

I seen a few things at this camp ground I feel no man should see. There was a rustling in the bushes I thought it was a deer well it wasn't. There's some weird guys who hang around here keep a close eye out on the kids. I ain't coming back I can tell ya that honey.

Mixed emotions about my recent stay at Campground.. Pro = Layout of park is nice. Swimming pool was best part. There are unmarked walking trails to Old Mans Cave. Shower houses were big but not cleaned...... CONS = Anyone from Old Mans Cave can come into campground if they find the path. Anyone can drive past check in and go... More

First, Hocking Hills is a fantastic place. Incredible scenery and awesome Midwest hiking. If you haven't, you must. The campground. Most spaces are packed tightly together - many are on a grade. We chose, due to limited availability, a small group site (G1). What isn't shown on the map is that it is directly next to the waste treatment plant.... More

First, in reading previous reviews, I dont think we are all referring to the same place. The campground located atthe address abve is a private campground and canoe livery. When I say read carefully, I am referring to their website. When they said pristine,I thought they meant clean. I think now they meant untouched...as in unimproved and uncleaned. We arrived... More

While finding the campground wasn't easy enjoying it sure was! It was very low key and the scenery was just gorgeous. There were bathrooms and showers very close to the site. The whole campground is right on the river which is fabulous. Not to mention it was only $8 a night per person. After getting to know the campground and... More
