My family has stayed at the Keystone Guest house for several years. We love staying there! It is just a wonderful family vacation highlight. The fact that it is centrally located to all the amenities Lakeside has to offer make it that much better.

My family and I stay at Keystone Guest House every summer and we love the character and charm this guest house has to offer. Each room has its own special theme and includes a nice size kitchen with all the amenities needed. The beds are comfortable and the room size is just right for us. The owners are very friendly... We stayed at Keystone during the 2013 Midwest Birding Symposium, after staying at Lakeside Hotel in 2011, and Keystone was so much better! The efficiency apartment was tiny, but everything was clean, neat, and well organized. The kitchen is especially nice: it's quite large for a place so small otherwise, and if you want to cook, practically everything you need... More

Lakeside is known for it's "get away from it all" mentality, along with its admission fee for getting in. Accordingly, just coming to Lakeside requires an investment of money. The Keystone makes it more affordable. Each room includes a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, stove/oven, coffee maker, and toaster. Bringing your own food greatly reduces your cost.
