This hotel is not on the main drag where most Cedar Point vacationers go, so it was quieter here than at the other motels. The hotel staff was very nice to me. The breakfast room was open 24 hrs per day, with coffee all day long. Free breakfast included hard boiled eggs, bread, cereal, juice, coffee, tea and milk. There... more

We were traveling and decided to go to Cedar Point. Since it wasn't a planned excursion, I was just searching around for somewhere to stay that wasn't right on the beaten path, and the name of this place caught my attention. I made the reservation sight-unseen. The staff was very friendly and it was, as advertised, at the river's edge.... more

Still has the nasty polyester comforters which most hotels have done away with. Pool is old with max depth of 4 ft.(even our nine year old called it suckish). After a long day at Cedar Point, we opened the hideaway bed to find sheets and a blanket wadded up in the middle.(GROSS!) then while making up the bed myself, with... more

Where to begin .... Upon checking in, the family ahead of us was told that the hotel did not have their reservation and did nothing to accommodate them even though they had their internet reservation. As the father was about to blow, they finally asked if they wanted them to call another hotel in the area as they were booked... more

Let me start by saying that yes, there is an industrial building behind the hotel that would make your River View room not worth the money, however the plant is quiet and did not do anything to disrupt my girlfriend or myself. The front counter was friendly and made check in a breeze. The hotel room was a standard room... more

This was a lovely hotel. If you are planning a trip to Cedar Point, this is a much better option than any of the hotels long the strip in Sandusky. We found River's Edge Inn to be quiet and comfortable - A perfect place to relax after a long day at the park. The beds were comfortable and the room... more

We chose this hotel because of it's location. This is a great place to stay if you are planning on a few days of fishing on lake Erie! Our stay was very positive. They had a very friendly staff, a very clean hotel & you can't beat the price! We will deffinately return to this hotel! more

Great hotel and very good rates. My family and I were going to Cedar Point we had a great stay. The rooms were nice and the hotel had a great indoor pool. The hotel overlooks the huron river, it was very nice to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the river. We cant wait to go back next year. more

We stayed in the hotel for three nights and found the staff to be friendly and the rooms clean. HOWEVER...our sheets would not stay on the beds and there were no mattress covers on the beds so I spent most of three nights trying to get the sheets back on the bed. When I spoke to the staff after the... more

A welcome alternative to the big hotel chain experience! An older property on the Huron River, with a view of the historic (and ungentrified), half-dome ConAg granary. There are real blankets on the beds--mine was pink and comfy. The refreshing indoor pool was nicely maintained. Admittedly, my elderly mother and I did encounter a couple snags, but Manager Angie Payne... more
