Rachel was a lovely friendly Host, Great breakfast set out in the front room overlooking the inlet. At one stage we could hear another guest talking on phone in their room next door. If you do not like dogs or cats in the house do not stay. We would recommend this lovely B & B as Rachel will make you... More

My husband booked this place without help! ha I am so glad he did as this was a five star stay. I found myself having to travel to Tasmania at short notice, and found the Alexandria b&b on the Wotif website and booked it as it seemed like the best value for money on the Wynyard area. Once I discovered I was going to be delayed arriving, I rang and a very friendly Rachel assured me that wouldn't be an issue,... More

The other accommodations in Wynyard were full up and never having stayed at a B&B before we decided to give Alexandria a go. We had no expectations. We were met at the car park and instantly treated like family members. Rachael showed us to our room and then to the dining area. Nothing was too much trouble. On arriving back... More

My husband and I spent the first two nights of our honeymoon at the Alexandria after having a friend highly recommend staying there. I made contact with the hosts prior to arriving to find out what sights and attractions were close by and received a reply with a whole list. Once arriving, we were instantly made to feel at home... We spent 3 nights at Alexandria and it was fabulous. Rachel is a perfect host as well as a wonderful cook. The 1905 house and gardens are beautiful with a fantastic location on the bank of the Inglis River. Fantastic walks around the river to the bluff which has panoramic views along the northern coastline. But the real attraction was... More

My wife, eight-month old daughter and I stayed here for two nights in the week leading up to Christmas 2012. We had heard good things about Alexandria but were blown away when we arrived. We stayed here last year when it was run by a delightful mother and daughter team. The hospitality and food were wonderful. The building owners now run it and we will never return. Dear Reviewers: We find this review disappointing as the reviewer has not stayed since we took the management of our property on at the start of November, 2012.
