Very beautiful house & lovely huge garden just like the picture shown on their website. Spacious suite & very comforable king size bed, nothing can complain. so so beautifull, you feel like your coming home to a long lost family. I felt so welcome, and they had the wood-fire going in my cottage for when I arrived. Was beautifull with all the autumn leaves, the little pet dog Adi. I will certainly go back,it was just so sweet! more

recommended elm wood after accomodation bungle at cradle mountain. approximately 1 and a half hours from cradle mountain and 30 minutes from launceston but if you want excellent hospitality and the chance to see the "real tasmania" with country drives and bush walks then Gil and Diana are a plethora of information they are only too happy to share. We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Linden Cottage on this property. This cottage was under the Linden tree, thus where it got its name from. The owners of Elm Wood were pleasant and helpful and could not do enough for us. Directed us to were we could eat and we enjoyed a Thai meal at the local hotel.... more

We needed a night on the way back to Launceston and thought that this sounded nice. A widely travelled business consultant and his wife decided to turn over part of their home for a B&B. Words such as delightful, cosy and luxury were used. Sure, sure. We've stayed at a few B&Bs where that was stated and nowhere near delivered.... more
