Our stay at Redcliffe House in Swansea provided us with a great base to explore this part of the coastline in Tasmania. The property was easy to find and when we arrived Gail welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately. We had the Oak Room, which was beautifully decorated and which had a small kitchenette with refrigerator, a... More

I had the Wisteria room and it was lovely. The owner was very helpful and we had a wonderful 2 nights stay. The garden was alive with ducks, peacocks, dog and a sheep. Very country.Highly recommended.

thank you Gail for looking after us in the lovely Wisteria Room, fortunately the weather was perfect for your recommendation of a tour to wineglass bay. Best breakfasts, thanks to Neils expert egg cooking. All in all a great experience will definitely recommend.

My wife and I enjoyed just one night here in the Garden room. Nigel and Gail were very friendly and shared lots of tips for visiting Freycinet, Wineglass Bay, and other places later in our trip. The room was beautifully decorated and hot breakfast was excellent. My wife especially liked the Venetian pillows and hard wood furniture. The gardens were... More

We stayed here in winter. We got the Wisteria Room which is upstairs. The sun streams into the room in the afternoon. The rooms are beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There is a nice garden with furniture that you can use. Also there are some nice chairs on the verandah. The hosts Nigel... More

After a slow grueling dusk drive from Hobart avoiding all the wildlife running across the road, we met by Gail who warmly welcomed us in with a free upgrade to the Garden room as we were the only couples staying at the property that night. After settling in and getting cleaned up we had a sip of the complimentary port... More

We stayed 3 nights at Redcliffe House built by convicts in the early 1800s. We were in the Oak Room which is attached to the side of the house and has its own entrance. The room is very large with a kitchenette and a small ensuite shower room (the shower was excellent). The heating worked well, and this room has... More

We were fortunate to have three nights in a very comfortable and quiet setting. it is an excellent location to drive to the northern beaches, or visit the stunning Freycinet's Wineglass bay and surroundings, or just chill out in our room and enjoy the complimentary port and look out into the surrounds and play "spot the turkey and her six... We stayed at Redcliffe House B & B just for the night but I would definitely recommend it to all. Gail was very welcoming and answered our questions about local sights and attractions. The room was really comfortable and cozy and the bed was great giving us a good nights sleep. Breakfast was yum and they really don't hold back.... More
