We stayed two nights in a spa unit and felt utterly spoilt, especially at breakfast time (I think we were the only one's there?). It was like we were a king and queen dining in a banquet hall being waited on by two esteemed gentlemen from the royal court! Best breakfast you'll ever lay eyes on and most satisfied belly... More

We stayed in the mews of Meredith House, which we found to be very comfortable and charming with a beautiful garden, tasteful heritage furniture and a lovely, soft big bed. The owners, Noel and Neil pay close attention to detail and the delicious baked treats in our room upon arrival were much appreciated. Breakfast was the highlight as it seems... More

From the minute we arrived at Meredth House we knew we were in for a treat. Even from the outside the House looks inviting and if anything is even more so once inside. The building is full of "stuff" from a bygone era and it is so tastefully done that it fires your interest and imagination. Our room was wonderfully... More

Had a one night stay and would have loved longer. Lush, comfortable room with a view and great attention to detail to maintain the heritage feel of the place. Breakfast did not disappoint- my only critiscism was there was so much I worried about the wastage of what we couldn't eat!! Have to mention the owners 2 cute dogs too-... More

I would hazard a guess that this is the best accommodation in town. The hosts were charming, the accommodation tasteful and decent views are to be had from the Bay View room. The Brobdingnagian breakfast is a must. Pete & Debbie June 2014

Meredith House is a fantastic place to stay when in Swansea. It's 19th century heritage made it feel like we were experiencing a unique part of Tasmania's history. When we arrived, we were greeted by Neil at the door and given a plate with two muffins as a welcome (they were very good!). We stayed in a Bay View Queen... More

We spent only one night at this very comfortable place with style and charm. The hosts were friendly and efficient and made us wonderful breakfast. Good room size, nice views, near restaurants to walk to for dinner... warmly recommended. And a bottle of port in the room!

Booked to stay for one night, ended up staying for two. Great historic house, very comfy bed, enjoyed talking to Noel and Neal, really appreciated the yummy breakfast and enjoyed our leftovers later in the day. Highly recommended.

I am Asian and found Neil and Noel to be delightful hosts. Maybe if the previous reviewer woke up daily at 4 am to cook breakfast, he/she would not be so chirpy by days end too. We had room 1 which had lovely views to the ocean out of one window and glimpses of a pictureque old church out of... More

My family and I decided to spend two nights there, based on the great reviews I read. However, one of the hosts was extremely rude to me during the entire stay! The bathroom stank, the bed my daughter slept in had dog hair all over the quilt cover, and the cutlery, cups and plates weren't replaced if used in the... More
