My friend and I booked for a 2 night stay and a world heritage cruise on the Gordon River ..we ended up staying another night to explore Strahan further. The staff were warm and welcoming during our stay and were able to assist in our requests..there were varying types of accommodation, such as the beautiful historical houses that blended in... More

We were on top of the hill in Lyell Wing. There are two wings where you can stay on the hill, only one (the wing that also has the restaurant) has the view. If you are booking ask for that wing. The staff at reception were friendly and cheerful. The room we stayed in was very dated but was roomy.... More

There is a lot of accommodation in Strahan but for position and friendliness for the price this would be hard to beat. Sure some of the back cabin rooms (where we stayed) are a little dated and furnishings tired (the room settee in particular) but they were roomy, clean and the bed was comfortable! You can walk down to the... More

Arrived at village before the 2:00 check in which wasn't a problem, room wasn't ready but staff got straight on to it and we were given suggestions on where to drive to to have a look around. Arriving back 1/2 hour later room was ready. What an amazing view, could stand there all day looking out across the harbour. Room... More

Dear Emma, Thank you for taking the time to write. During the warmer months the town does become a very busy place with tourists outnumbering locals and the Gordon River Cruise going twice a day. I am glad that we were able to be a part of your holiday. Kind Regards Brad Coelho More

The only reason we were going to Strahan was to do the Gordon River cruise. I booked one night at this hotel since they had a package deal and would handle all the cruise bookings. We even splurged booked the fancy Admirals' cabin. I was also told that their restaurant closed at 8 but the Hammers Hotel bar was open... More

Dear lanamom I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience we caused. Our boat unfortunately was held up for repairs longer then we expected. We ensured that we got in contact with all customers to advise them of this change and gave them to the opportunity to either reschedule or travel with the other cruise operator. kind regards Brad Coelho More

Although the boutique ground level cottages look appealing, I think the real gems are up on the hill behind reception. Pay the extra for a water view room, it's worth it. Manager here was fantastic in organising our last minute stay and subsequently made our time in Strahan more enjoyable. Rooms were neat and tidy with amazing views. Easy walk... More

We booked two of the conveniently located cottages located on the main street or Esplanade in Strahan. They were very roomy and we enjoyed having a glass of wine prior to dinner both nights sitting out on the veranda. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Thank you very much for a lovely review. The cottages were designed by a locale architect with the intention of replicating the historical building styles of Strahan's colonial days. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed yourself. Kind Regards Brad Coelho More

Our room was upgraded on our arrival. Had a beautiful harbour view just on sunset, gorgeous. This is our second stay and we loved it. Restaurant was closed, except for breakfast, but we went to Hammers and it was excellent. Loved the big pillows!!

Thank you for taking the time to write, I am glad that you had the opportunity to see the Sunset from a Harbour view room. The pillows you experienced are part of the ongoing upgrades of Strahan Village since RACT took over operations. Thank you again for your review. Kind Regards Brad Coelho More

I usually stay here when in Strahan. Pleasant check in staff, well located a short walk from town centre, quality restaurant and a bar. I book a room on the second floor on top of the hill. If you are lucky enough to wake to a clear morning you will experience one of the world's most beautiful views looking down... More

Thank you for taking the time to write. The harbour view rooms are my favourite as well. If you are able to make it back this summer, we will have the amazing buffet available in View 42 just a short walk down the hall from your room. More
