We stayed here with another couple in the back section of the Village. The road up to our accommodation was poorly lit, the rooms were part of a long, cold corridor that reminded me of army barracks and the rooms were not particularly welcoming, although they were clean and tidy. No view from where we were. The photos you see... More

Great room, clean, very spacious. Bathroom was large and very clean. The view was great overlooking Macquarie Harbour, we were given an upgrade to Hilltop Harbour View Room, on the top floor in the Gordon Wing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially Lisa at Reception.

We had two nights here with friends. We were in the rear wing (can't remember it's name), which is fairly dated. There was a stain on the bed sheets and a few loose hairs! Room was pretty cold due to the poor heating. The main restaurant area is nice, however they only offer buffet meals which I don't like. So... More

We stayed one night recently in a waterfront executive terrace, up on the 1st floor with a balcony and of course, the view. From the balcony you got a good glimpse of the harbour, the boats and the town. It was very nice sitting there gazing at it all and drinking good wine and having a good chat about our... More

We planned our holiday to stay at Strahan Village because of an add in the RACT membership book. The deal was - book a Gordon Rover Cruise and the first nights accommodation is free with full breakfast. We rang and booked, requesting that we stay in the Cottages on the main street, and our booking was confirmed. We also requested... More

We had two nights at the Hilltop. We used our RACT membership to get a good rate, so bascially what you pay for is what you get. Room tired and overlooked the untidy back garden, hence would not use RACT discount again. Lighting up the hill is questionable. They freely advise you of places to eat, as their "Restaurant" is... Stayed for 2 nights of our honeymoon. Pictures on the Internet looked great. Checked into our village cabin, tv is an old analogue tv, only had 3 channels, honestly, who has analogue tv's? Ask about the tv at reception and the receptionist lied to us saying she would have somebody look into it, didn't happen. Upon check out she then... More

Comfortable accommodation but very unimpressed with the TV. Settled in to watch the footy on a friday night only to find that the television was very small and old. Was literally a BOX. For the standard of accommodation and the price, a plasma screen would have been the expected.

I had been looking forward to staying here for months. House of Travel Howick were instructed to book rooms in the cottages on the waterfront b ehind the white picket fence in August of last year. Plenty of time to have our choice you would think. But no, on arival tody we find we've been 'Upgraded' to hilltop rooms. The... More

We booked a Hilltop Standard Room. Some of these rooms overlook the harbour and have a great view, ours overlooked the carpark, not such a great view, it would be worth asking for a harbour view when booking. There was plenty free parking, you get to it by driving up the hill and around the back of the place. Check-in... More
