We stayed in the waterfront cottages with a buffet breakfast, the cottage was lovely, clean and roomy and the breakfast was amazing, the cost for staying here was well worth it, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, a lovely place for some R & R.

We stayed in a hilltop executive room and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Although the room is dated the three areas gave ample living space. Bed and bath are in the back with 2 stairs to a lounge area then step outside to a private deck with panoramic views of the town and harbour. The bathroom... More

After a series of events which left me exhausted I decided to go to Strahan to buy some Huon Pine and to have a night away. I arranged to stay at Strahan Village having stopped there several times before and wasn't disappointed. The deal was good, the room was excellent and the staff plentiful and helpful. After a busy day... More

We arrived at our destination a little early and I inquired about upgrading our stay to a balcony king room. The room was just spectacular! I am so glad we upgraded. I cannot make any comments about the prebooked accommodations other than glancing at them and seeing they were just motel style rooms with no view. The staff at the... More

nice clean comfortable room and bed, lovely outlook over the harbor, it was cheaper to book through easytobook than the hotel, tried to book at the reception they quoted $186.00 on the net it was $140.00 I was quite surprised.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Strahan Village. I am so glad that you enjoy the view from your room. The view of Macquarie harbour is spectacular, especially at sunset. I hope you were able to experience it. In relation to the price difference in the rooms, I can only imagine it is due to the many different room... More

I booked months in advance - arrival until 11:00 PM. At 9:30 PM I was stranded 45 km away. When I called the hotel to inform them of the situation the project manager of the hotel offered to pick me up. The following morning he said to go ahead on the river cruise - he would do the negotiations with... More

It is a pleasure for us to help in any way we can, considering you were a solo international traveller and had a car accident miles from anywhere, it’s not just customer service, it’s... More

The Strahan Village brochures and website show quaint little cottages, with a white picket fence! We were booked into a hilltop room, and pictured us overlooking the harbour from one of those cottages. We were a bit disappointed when we found that our room was in an old grey, flat-top building that looked like a low-cost bunk house, with no... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write. It is correct to say that not all of our rooms have a view of the harbour. I am sorry that you were disappointed in regards to your location. I had stayed at the Strahan Village motel some years ago and the experience was good. We booked again just thus week and nothing had really changed. It has a great location but was a bit run down. Whilst having a drink at the bar prior to dinner, we met the new manager John, who outlined the plans for the... More

These little cottages are picturesque! Very cute! Cosy, prime position, comfortable ensuite facilities. No kitchen but plenty of places to eat. There was very little for my partner and I in Strahan, but the seats on the front deck and some drinks from the local bar made for a relaxed evening. Wierd seeing the ship that never was, only walking... More

Coming from the cute cottage at Cradle Mountain to this place proably heightened my disappointment but while we had half a small cottage that was were the charm ended. There were no cooking facilities beyond a toaster and a kettle. My lack of research was probably to blame but village suggested more to me. The location was excellent and price... More
