A pretty expensive price for what's advertised to what you get. The cabin was in a desperate need of a good clean. There was mould on the bedroom window and curtains as well as in the bathroom. Free wifi was available but we couldn't get it. The bed was uncomfortable and with the cabin so grubby, it wasn't a pleasant... More

Compared to other places we have recently stayed in whilst in Tasmania, this was overpriced. Cabins are ok, but in need of some maintenance. Heater almost ineffective and not even an electric blanket on the bed. As the temperature was only 4 degrees over night, an electric blanket would have made it more comfortable. Would look for an alternative when... More

Compared to other places we stayed on our recent trip to Tasmanian the two bedroom cabin we recently stayed in was not worth the money. It was not very clean and poorly maintained. We stayed here 5 years ago and the cabins were a lot more roomier and cleaner.

Stayed for 2 nights. Reception very friendly and can book river cruise, train etc. Rooms were ok. In need of upgrade, but not falling apart. Gardens maintained reasonably. Only downside is that neighboring cabins are very close. Unfortunate if you have inconsiderate neighbours who assume you're awake because they are. Wifi worked well for us. Beautiful 15 min walk to... More

We came during busy season and were told we were lucky to get a room. We were given the Arcacia Cottage. When entering it was very dark, old and dated. The carpet and couch were old and dirty and the light switches in odd places. The beds hard. That night I saw a mouse run across the kitchen floor. The... More

We camped here for two nights. It was ok as we had quite a nice big site for our tent however we were closely surrounded by 4caravan sites which were tiny and you were basically on top of each other. The facilities were limited considering how many sites were in proximity. Two showers and two toilets between maybe 10 sites... More

This is quite a large park with many cabins and caravan sites. Our Delux one bedroom cabin had been recently tastefully renovated. The cabin was well appointed with all that was required for short stays. We were glad of the free WiFi as there is no Optus network in the Strahan area. The park is located within easy walking on... Stayed one night in a 2 bedroom bungalow that was more like a box. So small you couldn't dry yourself in the bathroom after your shower. Sliding doors either fell off the rails or were so stiff you could hardly close them. Laminate cupboards are ripe for a reno. Maintenance obviously not a priority here. Beware of the substantial mould... More

Thank you for your comments. The two bedroom cabins are a size that is standard around Tasmania. The maintenance issues are being addressed, Including new kitchens. (You would have noted the major renovations presently under way). The cleaning issues cannot be excused. We apologise. We must do better More

A well-placed park for caravans and tents (with and without power), but for others the cabins are excellent value, well-equipped, and well-ordered (there is a recommended curfew on noise between 10pm and 7am). There is an ATM, a bottle shop, a cafe opposite the park, the beach (good for safe swimming for children) nearby, and a pleasant walk into the... More

The holiday park is quite large and centrally located. Our cabin had a few maintenance issues, but staff were happy to address these upon checkout. It was warm, cosy and just what we needed. The bed was comfy. The only negative was the cleanliness - a lot of obvious cobwebs in every room.
