The information centre researched this one for us. Fantastic. Very clean, modern, well appointed cabin with the bed in the main room. Balcony/verandah overlooked a paddock with horses in it. The lady who welcomed us was absolutely delightful. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin with another couple. Pam at reception very friendly and helpful. Booked our tickets for the wilderness cruise for the next day so we didn't miss out. Cabin large with 2 bedrooms, clean and tidy with plenty of pillows and blankets and storage for longer stay. Everything provided for self catering and... More

Very quiet, clean and well equipped self catered cabins. Helpful staff and great advice about the local area. Need to be organised re food as Strahan supermarket closes at 7.00pm. Make use of the restaurants in town.

I gave 4/5 because the reception lady is very helpful. She helps us to even book the wcwr in order to secure the tickets without any last minutes disappointment. The rooms not wise not really amazing but we are good to stay for a nite.

We were given a warm welcome when we checked in, with a great update on the local scene. The accommodation is well designed and maintained. There was no sign of the tired presentation observed by an earlier reviewer. Adequate self catering equipment and cosy heating made for a great stay.

I was born in Strahan (well Queenstown if you are being picky) but my family moved away decades ago so my sister and I were revisiting places from our childhood. We arrived early evening and Pam made us very welcome with local maps and identifying places we wanted to visit. It was a bit chilly so Pam had already turned... More

My wife and I and a friend from Germany stayed here in September 2013 in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was a little bit on the old side but was spotlessly clean, warm and had everything we could possibly need to look after ourselves - and it was pleasure to sleep on a nice firm mattress (as opposed to what... We (four seniors) were very disappointed with this place. It was clean enough, but just dowdy. The units (standalone small cottages) are in desperate need of an upgrade. The decor is stuck in the 60s and 70s and there's no excuse to leave them that way for the fee charged (especially when we booked the upmarket boat cruise through them... More

This is a clean, roomy base for trips out each day. It is basic and a tad old fashioned but did appreciate its warmth. Our bed was very hard so unfortunately I did not get a lot of quality sleep. The owners clearly love the Tasmanian wilderness and are passionate about saving it . Well done. It is within easy... More

My husband and I stayed here whilst participating in Wildside 2014. We were greeted warmly and our check in was prompt. The accommodation was spotless and contained quality fittings. The room was spacious with a well equipped kitchen.
