5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. We had the Studio Apartment which was excellent and made our stay most enjoyable. Greta and Chris were great hosts and certainly know how to look after their guests. It was like a home away from home and would certainly recommend it. WiFi was good and the Scones and Irish Cream Cheesecake... More

Thank you Greta and Chris for your friendly and warm hospitality. While on our honeymoon we loved staying in your gorgeous little Pines Cottage with a view over the beach and a mezzanine floor with a bed with beautiful linen. Breakfast was supplied for us to cook at our own leisure and we left in the morning with a complimentary... More

We only stayed one night here in Stanley but it was wonderful. We arrived much later than expected but notes were left for us and the key was in the door. The cottage could not have been better situated or more picturesque. Fruit, port and chocolates were waiting for us on arrival and the view was the best and we... More

My husband and I stayed in Touchwood's charming studio which consists of a spacious bed-sitting room, a separate kitchen and bathroom. Perched high on the hill we had marvellous views across the bay. Very relaxing to look down on when we weren't strolling along the sand or having a coffee in one of Stanley's many cafes. The studio had everything... More

We stayed at this three bedroom cottage for one night with my disabled mum. So beautifully furnished and decorated and at the same time easy for disabled access. Large queen bedroom is on same level as bathroom and toilet and close by. Walking in shower for her and lovely claws foot bath for me. New managers who couldn't do enough... More

What a gorgeous place at the end of a long drive from Launceston. We were greeted by our host with an offer of a coffee which set the scene. Stanley is a picturesque village, extensive history, great views. Our cottage had a great view over the water, surprisingly large with a very comfortable bed two lounge chairs, breakfast table and... We had a great welcome, despite turning up very early. Our cottage was very quiet, clean with great views. Not huge rooms, but we were very comfortable here indeed. There was impressive attention to detail; a well equipped kitchen, a carafe of sherry, reverse-cycle air conditioning (for heating) or a wood stove (which was already set, all you had to... More

Lovely little cottage down a tight driveway. Hosts were hugely welcoming and friendly. Cottage has so much character, we loved it. Shower is a bit tight lol. Bit put off that the laundry was locked so early since we travelled all day and needed to do washing, there isn't a laundromat in town that we could find. Overall lovely llittle... More

Thank you for your welcome review of Touchwood Cottages. We apologise that we did not arrange to leave the laundry open for you to use later if you wish. This is something we always do and obviously was not conveyed to you on your visit. I understand the desire to keep on top of washing when travelling so in this... More

Kathy is so welcoming and lovely. The cottage is very cute and cosy, unfortunately there were cobwebs and dust but I didn't let that bother me. Breakfast was provided in the cottage with a range of cereals, bread and spreads, milk, tea and coffee. Would very easily stay here again, it was lovely.

Thank you for your response. We are very pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay at The Pines Cottage. As we were training a new cleaner who still needed much guidance we apologise that she may have overlooked some crucial aspects of her job e.g. cobweb & final dusting. We thank you for bringing it to our attention. More
