We stayed at Abbey's on Church in Stanley, Tasmania. The old cottage was beautifully renovated and well equipped in regards to the kitchen and all very clean. We had a lovely king sized bed and a sunny nook at which to eat our meals and a verandah. The bathroom was very large and there was off street parking. The front... More

Stanley was our first stop (two nights) in Tasmania and as we continued around the state a few tour operators and other people asked me what our favourite place in Tassie was. Every time I said Stanley, this was partly due to the beautiful Seaview house and partly due to the picturesque historic town. Stanley boasts the imposing Nut and... More

Beautiful cottage in best location in town, right at the base of the 'Nut', and with views of the bay from the front windows. Close to shops and pub. Large kitchen, 4- poster bed, spa bath, well equipped and decorated house. We stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. Loved it. Can't comment on value for money... More

Lovely old 3 bed cottage overlooking Stanley bay. We were upgraded because of a wedding so had this huge cottage to ourselves, 4 poster bed and all. Great family size kitchen with everything you would need for staying in. Cosy fire to round off the ambience.

We stay here for 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Stanley is a beautiful, idyllic little seaside town that is well worth a visit. Abbey’s on Church was on the main road, right in the centre of town. It is very close to lots of restaurants, cafés and shops and is a short, easy walk to The Nut. The cottage... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Easy check in at the hotel located just down the road. Easy parking. Extremely quiet little apartment even though it is located right in the town and on the road. Am a light sleeper and didn't get disturbed by noise once. The bed was ok, could have had better pillows but otherwise good. The kitchenette was... More

Really enjoyed my stay here- overnight wasn't nearly enough! The cottage is decorated with some interesting period bric-a-brac and comfortable furnishings (some a little worn, but nonetheless charming), is centrally located and within walking distance of shops, facilities and the beach. The cottage overlooks the bay providing stunning views, and there's a lovely, private cottage garden to the rear. The... More

We stayed at the Pol Cottage. Easy check in at the Stanley Hotel and a very warm welcome. The location is great, and the cottage had everything you would want (we were three adults), however we did feel it was a bit tired and dated. For the price we paid ($150 a night in winter) it was really good value,... More

Stayed at Abbey's on church for 2 nights. What a treat! Beautifully renovated with everything a traveler could ask for. The bed was very comfortable and the large spa was a real treat. Full functioning kitchen and laundry with a dryer allowed us to get our washing done. Situated at the bottom of the nut and in the heart of... More

Arriving in Stanley we had to report to the Stanley Hotel to check in. We parked on the lower level going into the restaurant entrance but the office is actually around the "front" of the hotel on the main street. Check in was slow, as the office is also a gift shop come reception for the pub and one person... More
