We stayed at @VDL on our honeymoon. We originally booked it for one night but extended it to two after discovering just how lovely it was. We arrived after dark and the owner was waiting for us. @VDL is gorgeous from top to toe. Our room was so tasteful and bed incredibly comfortable. Had dinner at the pub, but wished we had just stayed in and had wine and cheese and spent more time enjoying the room more
An excellent facility spoilt by not only the total non-availability of any breakfast, but no evidence of any thought being given to the liklihood of guests needing any. We arrived at Stanley after dark and only realised how marvellous the location of VDL is the next morning: right on the bay in Stanley and close to all the main sights.
