Agree entirely with the previous review, great value for money. The rooms are pub rooms, spotlessly clean with shared facilities. Very comfortable bed and had a great sleep. Food was wonderful - worth the stay just for the meals. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided and more than adequate. Will stay here again.

Can highly recommend this Hotel as exceptional value for money, the room was spacious and clean, we had a hand basin in our room with shared bathroom facilities. (Whilst there were other guests staying, we actually never met anyone else in the bathroom). The staff are exceptionally pleasant and friendly, the accommodation upstairs is quiet, and whilst our room did... More

Country hotels offer an economical alternative to motels if you don't mind shared facilities. From the moment I walked in I found the hotel warm and welcoming. They had my prepaid booking details and then showed me to my large double room. It was clean and comfortable with a blower heater for the cold night. It had an open wardrobe... More

This is the first time we had been to our local pub/hotel since it was taken over a couple of years ago. We enjoyed our food so much the first time that we had to go again a week later. The food is served in one of the bar areas which is used exclusively for dining during meal times. My... More

We had been camping just down the road and torrential downpours of rain for multiple days made it unfeasible to camp any longer. We had managed to time out stay awfully as the whole island seemed to be fully booked. The room we got was pleasant a little small but can't complain! - comfy beds and a basic breakfast in... More

We loved the hotel with its great country hospitality. Our upstairs room was very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were shared ladies and mens at opposite ends of the long corridor. There was a lounge room with TV and facilities to make a cuppa on the same floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at the hotel... More

Service and food outstanding and great wine selection. I had the crumbed fresh scallops, wow they were amazing, I wanted a salad with them and the Chef was happy to oblige. This is one of the best Ozzy Hotels that I have visited in a long time, I think in winter the ambience will just magnify with the fire going.... More

Haven're stayed here. The food is good hotel fare..but WAY too big a serves and the service was very very slow....allow yourself at least two hours to get the feed in front of you and hope you haven't lost your appetite by the time it arrives.

An amazing, authentic and traditional Australian hotel, in an attractive, friendly town in the Tasmanian hinterland. Exceptionally friendly staff welcomed us on our (late, unreserved) arrival. Room was basic, of course, but spotlessly clean and well presented. Shared bathrooms also immaculately clean. Restaurant (seafood in particular) absolutely delicious. If you want to stay at a real, "fair dinkum" Aussie pub... More

I never planned to stay here, but my motorbike decided I would. I was riding to St Helens and passing through St Marys when may bike engine started running very erratic. I pulled up and was lucky to be right beside the local garage. seems the alternator was giving me problem and the mechanic suggested charging the battery overnight. Just... More
