Peter Troode spares no effort in making his guests welcome and their stay memorable. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, every comfort. Great breakfast. Cold weather no problem, warm rooms and big, comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom with every convenience. We will be back.

From the moment my wife and i arrived, Peter was an absolute pleasure! We were made to feel right at home. That feeling combined with an extremely comfortable room, delicious cooked breakfast and good company made our stay the best we had in Tasmania. Thank you Peter! Dan & Ramie

From the moment we arrived, Peter Troode was the consummate host. We were immediately told to "make ourselves at home" and he meant it. He clearly relishes his job - and it shows. Peter has an interest in his guests (there was another couple there for one of the nights) and chats effortlessly, but not intrusively, about anything and everything,... More

Lovely restored period home set in neat garden in country town in the northeast of Tasmania. The host, Peter Troode, instantly makes visitors feel welcome, and the service is excellent. I heartily recommend it as a place to stay!

Our third visit and it just gets better. This time with 89 year old Uncle Ray and Yvonne from Brisbane. The grace and olde worlde charm was their favourite comment on the wayhome to Golden Valley. Peter was his magnificent self with indulgent service and hospitality. A must for any visitor to the East Coast!

I stayed here with my mother and brother who were over visiting Australia. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Tasmania. Peter was a very warm and welcoming host and couldn't do enough for us. He was very personable and friendly and we all enjoyed chatting to him. His rooms and home were spotless and its clear... My boyfriend and I travelled to St Marys for a wedding and were lucky enough to stay in the ensuite room at Addlestone House. Addelstone House is beautifully kept but not too "show room" so that you feel uncomfortable. The linen and towels (Sheridan) were new, soft and luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and made up with an electric... More

Addlestone House is lovely, welcoming and clean. Our room had a comfy queen bed with heated mattress topper, a luggage stand, dresser and closet. We also had a small sitting room and an immaculate bath with a great shower. There is a special guest lounge where you can enjoy coffee and tea or a glass of wine, access free WiFi,... More

We stayed here for one night only (unfortunately) at the end of December 2013 as we were on our two weeks cycling trip around east Tasmania and we ranked this place as one of two best B&B's we experienced in Tasmania. Peter is wonderful person and he did always make sure we feeling very comfy... like at home. Whole house... More

We highly recommend Addlestone B&B. The bedroom was nicely decorated and very comfortable. In addition there is a comfy sitting area and Peter makes you feel so welcome that you feel like you get the whole house. Breakfast was lovely and generous in size. Peter knows the east coast of Tasmania well and was happy to provide advice on potential... More
