Stayed here for a night with my partner during the Chinese new year. Very affordable, close to everything. The bed was clean and comfortable and friendly personal service from the owners. It's also nice to find a place that accommodates both smokers and non smokers.

We thank the owners for keeping travel affordable!!!!! We paid $107 for our "motel suite" #24. Please note that #24 and #25 are free-standing, although they are NOT what are advertised as the "cabins". Our thrifty but wonderful space included a kitchen with a bar-size fridge and microwave. The living area included a sofa and a small table with two... More

We stayed in one of the cabins here. It was quite comfortable and had good cooking facilities for the abalone (you cant buy) to be cooked. The hosts had lots of tourist info and were very helpful. Its fairly close to town and there are some good walks along the shore which is close. Only complaint was that we wanted... More

we stayed here with another couple. Although the cottage we got could sleep 6 in the bedrooms, only one room had a double (maybe queen?) bed so we had to re-arrange two single beds. The cottage was clean and looked relatively new, but the decor was definitely outdated. Not a bad place to stay if you're in the area and... More

I stayed in room 21 on Dec 14th 2014, on a recent visit to St Helens to see my father in aged care. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bedroom upstairs bathroom downstairs could be a problem for extended stays. There were nice views of George's Bay from outside and the bedroom. The only problem I found was that... More

We only stayed for one night but would highly recommend this place to anyone. The price we paid was very good compared to the same type of place in Swansea that cost too much for what we got. The owners were wonderful and really helpful. The motel room we stayed in was so nice, clean and just what we needed.... More

Well I am not sure why this place has such high rank here as we found beds of our cottage are quite dirty. True the staff are friendly and helpful, the view from the hill to the bay is great, the cottage's space is generous and everything is functional although appears aging. There's no Wi-Fi (pretty good Telstra 4G coverage... More

Only stayed in St Hellens for one night and decided to stop here. Good decision. We didn't need anything fancy and we were tired from the day. This place was clean and cosy. Nice people running and very reasonable price. There is an excellent Indian restaurant at the bottom of the hill so no need to go far for dinner.... More

I'm currently half way through my stay in the cottages for 6 weeks for work. I have to say that so far, I have had an amazing stay. The cottages have everything you need and with plenty of room. Anything you ask of the owners is never any trouble. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants self contained... More

We intended to stay at a more luxurious B&B but when we arrived we thought it just a bit too far out of town. By chance we happened upon Queechy Cottages and were not disappointed. The accommodation is comparatively basic, but it has everything you could need to self cater and is comfortable, clean and well heated. How lucky were... More
