This place needs a serious injection of cash. It is so tired and dowdy. The location is excellent and I'm sure it once was nice. There is no cooling in the rooms and no air movement. There is a small heater on the wall which was supposed to cool but didn't work and I don't think it would have made... More

We just stayed the one night so didn't need resort facilities but it is definitely not 4 stars. We had a 'garden view'....but the gardens weren't landscaped, and the rooms were clean but not modern. There was a funny chemical smell throughout the hotel - perhaps from cleaning products. The hotel felt deserted and a bit tired and sad.

We stayed in the Ensuite Room (King Spa) but unfortunately for us the spa did not work but apart from that minor hiccup the room was quite large, clean and had a small balcony overlooking the waterfront. The restaurant served good quality meals. This resort is ideally located for travellers on Tasmania's East Coast. I agree with the previous comments... More

We stayed at this place of accommodation for two nights. The rooms were spacious and clean. The rooms were tastefully decorated. The staff were very friendly and professional. Our meals at the restaurant were excellent. The views from the decking were breathtaking. This resort is a short walk to the local shopping area. Overall a very pleasant experience.

St. Helens is a super small town. We visited between x'mas and new yr 2014. Since there were barely enough food choices in town, we can't really complain about the lack of choices in housing. It is definitely not a luxury resort - I would say that the beds are prob more like a Super 8 quality. Again, you prob... More

\on arrival we first checked in to the room. Quite nice overlooking the lagoon and bay. We went down to get a drink from the bar. The service was friendly however, she was not able to use the register and we had to wait until the reception girl could come to take the money. This was the most expensive of... More

We were charged over $200 a night for a room with paper thin walls, terrible bed and bath linen and a very strong and offensive chemical cleaning smell in the room.  The hotel also advertised FREE in room wifi.   This did not exist (except for in a few rooms close to the lobby).  Although wifi was provided in the lobby, the connection often... comfortable room with everything we needed. A couple of guest lounge areas which were spacious. A restaurant offering a number of gluten-free choices. A short drive away from the Bay of Fires. Friendly staff.

I always scoff when I see the word “resort” in a property title in Tasmania. The moment that a property has water frontage or a toddler’s pool, it seems to believe it has automatic permission to use the maligned descriptor. I was thus very pleased when upon arriving at Tidal Waters Resort to see the long sweeping driveway from which... More

We were booked to stay at the 4 star luxury resort on 29th dec for one night, upon arrival first impressions were very average and immediately felt apprehensive when entering our room. Room was very outdated, bed linen was old fashioned and felt damp, outside the view from the balcony was that of a swamp which attracted hundreds of Mosquitos,... More
