On our recent trip to Tasmania, we spent 2 nights at Tidal Waters Resort in St Helens. Forget about Coles Bay or Wineglass Bay. Come to St Helens and take a short drive to Binalong Bay! Unbelievable long stretch of unspoilt white sandy beach. We practically had the whole beach to ourselves on the morning we went there. On the... More

We hired the Robert Burns ballroom for our meeting on the Saturday and had a banquet in the same room that evening. There were 67 persons seated at banquet we found the staff provided by Tidal Waters to assist in setting up and serving on tables excellent and the buffet meal provided was of high quality, well presented and the feedback... We paid for $240 / night and frankly for that price the rooms were very understated. The view was lovely and I had a spa, but all other amenities rivaled 2 star hotels. We paid for the breakfast and unfortunately got served undercooked eggs (runny whites) and we complained we got back half the serving size and overcooked eggs. No... More

We had a pleasant stay here. The room was nice and modern. Bathroom big enough. We did not have trouble with noise and found the beds comfortable. A nice public playground about 100metres away. Free dvd borrowing. Very accommodating staff after a booking mishap on my part. Dinner was not the best but breakfast was nice

We stayed in a family room. The beds were old and uncomfortable. The room was very small and the hallway was so noisy. Every person that walked past felt like a herd of elephants. The walls were also paper thin and we could clearly hear the conversation of the people in the next room. Didn't have a very pleasant night.... More

A long, low hotel on the very edge of the lagoon. Good location for trips to Bay of Fires. Magnificent views from lagoon-side rooms, restaurant, huge deck, and the visitor lounges. The hotel is very roomy, with lots of places to sit and enjoy the view even if you have one of the cheaper rooms on the wrong side of... More

My partner and I are staying here for a couple of days. We decided to eat in the resorts restaurant. Big mistake! Faulty towers or what? We ordered oysters kilpatrick.... When they came the bacon was incinerated. We ordered a repeat order of a couple glasses of wine... "Oops sorry.. I forgot", says the waitress after We waited 10 minutes.... More

This place was wonderful in every respect---and this is from a family used to five star hotels. We had a large room that was fully equipped with a beautiful view and birds right outside our balcony. All of the services were excellent and dinner in the hotel was quite good. To top this off, I left my phone in the... More

$220AUD for Water View Room. I knew from previous reviews that wifi is an issue here so when checking in the receptionist mentioned "there's a guy coming this afternoon to fix it, you'll have to use the lobby" The thing was it was pretty late in the afternoon when we arrived. I would prefer to hear it straight. "Our wifi... More

Cheaply furnished and poorly run. Sign on the door says "rated 4 stars"- but doesn't say by what organization. I think they bought the sign. WAY overpriced for what is delivered. Seriously understaffed: I checked in at 8 PM during peak season: kitchen already closed. One person handling the phone, the restaurant patrons still seated, bar, and check-in. "Garden view"... More
