We recently spent 2 nights at Tidal Waters and enjoyed our time there. The rooms were comfortable, the staff very friendly and the food was excellent. For coeliacs, I can recommend the dinner menu as there were many choices available.

While this place has the potential to be something amazing, were were largely disdained by the overall experience. It is very hard to pin point exactly what the issue is, bit it does feel somewhat like a glorified retirement home. The one night deal did include a well provided breakfast but the dinner was some what shy considering the price.... More

Tidal Waters Resort is quite expensive for the quality of the rooms. They were very clean, but not much soundproofing from nearby rooms. I suppose this is the best accommodation option in St Helens, but there are a lot of matters that should be remedied. Staff are not at all friendly, and the resort is huge, so really doesn't have... Hotel was clean, if a little dated. Bay view is actually a rather smelly swamp in front of the rooms with the bay beyond it. Staff were friendly Not much sleep - noisiest hotel I have been in. Even noisier than cheap hotels. Floorboards in the halfway creak with every step. Walls so thin you can hear conversations and toilet... More

The resort is well situated, walking distance to the main town and foreshore and only a short drive to Bay of Fires and surrounds. The room was clean and well appointed, but the resort didn't offer the additional facilities I would normally expect. For example, the pool was outdoors (solar heated), but was full of leaves and far too cold... More

Stopped in for lunch recenty, and ordered Burmese Fish Cake Salad with Tamarind Citrus Dressing. The service was very good. The fish cakes were delicious, as was the dressing. However, I received 2 very small fish cakes and a small heap of cabbage coleslaw. I was hungry when I started the meal and I was still hungry when I finished.... More

We stopped here by chance on a business trip. The food was amazingly good and the service could not be faulted. Wood fires in 4 relaxing lounges. When the sun was out the deck area looking over the bay was a great place to escape the rest of the world.

Congratulations to the one and only staff member who spoke and assisted us during our stay. She is a great asset to your business. All the other staff treated us like we were invisible. This person was the house keeper!! She was happy friendly and efficient. We were disappointed that the restaurant wasn't promoted in any way- thus we dined... More

It is interesting that the layout design and rooms are very similar to cradle mountain hotel however the experience is way different The halls and lounges were cold and no free wifi to your room That being said the room was clean and big and the restaraunt was quite good in the evening with the food being plentiful and enjoyable... Stopped for two nights, room was comfortable but the establishment is very open and lots of unused space, so it was very cold. Fires lit in empty lounge areas, but not lit in the breakfast room??? We did get a good rate, but would not have chosen to stay based on the normal price.
