I was a bit worried when I read everyone else's comments about the thin walls here, but I thought it's a 4 star hotel how bad could it be. Well I wish I took their advice. You can hear conversations, people snoring, and people walking past your room because of the flimsy flooring. And if your on the first floor... More

First impressions were of a resort in a lovely location and that stands. However the architecture of the resort does not work for wintertime. Freezing dining room - second night I knew better and wore my outdoor clothes - and to expect guests to eat breakfast in a dining room with no heating (which was the case) was appalling. There... We stayed 2 nights in this clean motel. The room we had was big and had lovely comfortable furniture and a comfortable bed. We were walking distance from our two dinner choices and we enjoyed a glass of port by the fire in the hotel guest section after dinner. A pleasant place to stay in a lovely part of the... More

We stayed for two days and found our room cold but the common areas absolutely freezing! We tried to go for dinner there but walking into the restaurant it was so cold we decided to walk into town and get takeaway it was warmer!! As we checked out the lady there was extremely helpful and earned this place the two... More

We recently spent 2 nights at Tidal Waters and enjoyed our time there. The rooms were comfortable, the staff very friendly and the food was excellent. For coeliacs, I can recommend the dinner menu as there were many choices available.

While this place has the potential to be something amazing, were were largely disdained by the overall experience. It is very hard to pin point exactly what the issue is, bit it does feel somewhat like a glorified retirement home. The one night deal did include a well provided breakfast but the dinner was some what shy considering the price.... More

Tidal Waters Resort is quite expensive for the quality of the rooms. They were very clean, but not much soundproofing from nearby rooms. I suppose this is the best accommodation option in St Helens, but there are a lot of matters that should be remedied. Staff are not at all friendly, and the resort is huge, so really doesn't have... Hotel was clean, if a little dated. Bay view is actually a rather smelly swamp in front of the rooms with the bay beyond it. Staff were friendly Not much sleep - noisiest hotel I have been in. Even noisier than cheap hotels. Floorboards in the halfway creak with every step. Walls so thin you can hear conversations and toilet... More

The resort is well situated, walking distance to the main town and foreshore and only a short drive to Bay of Fires and surrounds. The room was clean and well appointed, but the resort didn't offer the additional facilities I would normally expect. For example, the pool was outdoors (solar heated), but was full of leaves and far too cold... More

Stopped in for lunch recenty, and ordered Burmese Fish Cake Salad with Tamarind Citrus Dressing. The service was very good. The fish cakes were delicious, as was the dressing. However, I received 2 very small fish cakes and a small heap of cabbage coleslaw. I was hungry when I started the meal and I was still hungry when I finished.... More
