We were excited about our east coast getaway. Upon arrival most of our hopes were dashed. How this place has a 4 star rating is beyond me. The restaurant was over priced and the meals average. The wine had obviously been opened some time last week and was undrinkable. The room while large with a niceish view was daggy and... More

was nice to have the Spa, and King size bed, Robes, everything else looked a bit dumpy that's why we paid the extra and stayed here, bit more than I wanted to pay, but you get that sometimes. I would probably stay again

Situated on the waterfront close to the town centre this well maintained property provides a quiet and comfortable stay. Friendly and helpful staff add to the appeal. I stay here regularly for work and am never dissapointed.

This particular hotel may have been a lovely family resort in the 1990's, but it now resembles a dated, dirty, horribly over priced dump. The decor is dated early 90's with plenty of dirt to go with it. The walls and doors are filty and desperately need a wash. There is cob webs hanging from ceiling. The bathroom floor is... More

This was the first place we stayed in on our 2nd trip to Tasmania. The reception was very classy and we were warmly welcomed. The room was comfortable, nicely supplied with usual provisions, very nice bathroom with a spa. The only thing we could fault was the mattress on the bed was a bit too soft for us, a bit... More

Checked in last minute at 6pm and it was like a ghost town resort, a bit creepy even as there was NO ONE about. Front reception empty. Saw sign to say if reception empty go to bar. Went to bar and found ONE young lady working there. No one in bar or restaurant. Room was $160 or $200 for water... More

Lovely location overlooking the bay, but otherwise fairly average room and restaurant. The garden at the front of the hotel is lovely. There are not many options for hotels in St Helens, so you may well end up here like us.

While not a new property - Our room was immaculate and spacious with beautiful views across the tidal waters. Appears to have been recently painted and carpeted throughout. Minibar fridge was empty and very handy to stash some supplies in. King size bed yeah - luckily was not one of the usual joined together singles. Shops and eateries a short... More

The poor staff are obviously run off their feet having to race between the bar and the front desk, but they were very friendly and gracious. The WiFi does not extend past the 1st sitting area outside reception (so no WiFi in the rooms at all). If you do make use of the WiFi in that area, it's going to... More
