The new owners are very welcoming. The park itself is ok but if you choose to stay here on a powered site only do that if you can get powered site 1. This site is really the only decent site. The laundry is quite grubby and the amenities are old and it shows. Not too sure if they are clean... More

We rang Christmas Day desperate for a campsite as everything else was booked out. We turned up late after a long motorbike ride. A key had been left out for us and the owner guided us to our site by phone. All on Christmas Day !! The park was well organized, clean amenities and the next day the owners also... More

I will list things ranging from the worst to the least annoying: * Found hair in the food twice, on separate occasions. Disgusting. * Burnt food to the point of not being able to consume - will never go there again. * Rude people at reception. Apparently you have to know them on a first name basis to receive any... Arrived after a day driving, and was greeted by the friendly and helpful owner. Checked in and had a great hot shower. We stayed in one of the cabins which was well appointed. The shop has everything. It's a supermarket, snack bar, hardware shop, fishing shop and more all in one!!! The works burger deal was fantastic value at $7... More

Powered site for one night only. Park was tidy, quiet ( this was the off season) and as I really couldn't be bothered cooking it was great they did takeaways - I had a very tasty seafood basket. Free wifi was great. Amenities were clean. I found the owners very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again. Definitely not... More

We stayed here for 2 nights recently. We chose it instead of the Big 4 as Hillcrest was cheaper. The location is ok, but it’s about 3km away from St Helens so you need your own transport. On our arrival we checked in and the manager was helpful and friendly. We had a campervan and the camping sites are at... More

The choice of campsites in St Helens is really between the Big4 and Hillcrest - I picked Hillcrest as it appears from the map to be closer to the water (though, as the name suggests, it is on a hill). Due to the road layout, the site is actually between two fairly busy roads, and as the powered sites line... More

No information, no instruction, the receptionist told us he closes at 6pm. What can you do with that? And we could get an decent apologize thenext morning. Very upset, very... More
