Travelling from Launceston down the East Coast of Tassie to Hobart on our honeymoon, we wanted a convenient overnight stay between towns. Bayside Inn at St Helens was perfect as it was easy to find and contained a restaurant, bar and lounge as well as the accommodation. This was very relevant to us on the date we stayed there as... A bit of a blast from the past, old & needing some refurbishment - but it's a clean & comfortable hotel Large rooms with good TV's The Bistro downstairs serves good pub style food and the bar is a popular place with locals the main thing that impressed us about the bayside was how friendly & helpful the staff were... The beautiful views from our 'balcony' over the bay made our visit for us. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the motel is very convenient for travelling on the east coast of Tasi. I would definitely recommend this motel.

I checked in late and left early so can’t comment on the staff but the room certainly took me back a few years. It actually reminded me of some American hotels, built in a more prosperous time. The main room was very spacious with a large window and good size fat screen. The TV was also very easy to watch... More

Average hotel room, bed far too soft, curtains need maintenance, no fan in the bathroom. bibinilhouhnouhiuphhoihnoiuhoihopioihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihoihohohiohoihoihoihoihoi

Our room (as did many others) in the Bayside Inn faced onto a central courtyard containing a pool so if the noise of happy, splashing children is your thing you will find this entertaining. The room reminded us of something from the 60s in terms of décor and furnishings, and the mattresses were soft, but the place was clean and... More

The room was like a time warp to the 1970's, including the carpet and bathroom amenities. I think that $130 is excessive for such a poorly maintained property. Overpriced and no lift access to 1st floor.

A spacious comfortable room. Opposite the beach so views were good. Bistro downstairs for reasonably priced meals. Not as good value for money as other places we stayed in Tasmania. In fact found all the places we stayed on the East coast had elevated prices in comparison.

The location of the Bayside is good. We stayed in the rooms without view and the outlook was dim. The rooms were clean with basic facilities. It was convenient to walk along to the Saturday market. Does need a fresh coat of paint and new curtains and could do with some better towels
