Room in need of total update. Shower leaked through bath onto the floor, taps didn't work for bath. Airconditioning didn't work. One of the single beds had a board placed in-between base and mattress, so old. As this was part of the hotel all you could smell was beer. No parking, was told that I could use the public car... My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were a bit disappointed with the Bayside Inn, the room although quite large and clean was looking rather tired and was in need of some redecoration. The bed was quite comfy and we slept well on the first night but on the 2nd night we were kept awake from all... More

After the long trek to Bishop and Clerk on Maria Island that day Bayside Inn was a lovely reward. The view was pretty spectacular, easy access and the room was nice and comfortable. Shower was also worthy of a mention with normal showerhead and ceiling one also. Bed was lovely and the breakfast everything we needed - fruit and cheese... More

For the price we paid, it was good value as it had sufficient in the way of necessities and the linen was clean. However the decor was a bit tired and needed a some redecoration. We had a room overlooking the pool which was a bit noisy, though that was not a problem during the night. If you want a... More

Great location for an overnight stop on the way from Launceston to Freycinet. Somewhat noisy due to being part of the hotel, but the room and facilities were quite adequate. Its proximity to Bay of Fires added to its appeal. The nearby service station is a good place to tank fuel at a reasonable price for Tassie.

Room was very outdated. Looked like nothing had been done since it was built. However it was clean. Located across the road from the beach if you're staying in summer is the only good feature. Wouldn't stay again.

Perfect location of this motel, close to Bay of Fires and a good stop on the way from Launceston to Freycinet. But the reception staff on check in wasn't very welcoming. Felt like he wanted us to leave as soon as possible. Asked for some tips of things to do and a map since we didn't know about the area... More

This hotel is in a perfect location on the estuary in central St. Helens. However it is definitely not value for money. It is clean however being above a hotel it can be noisy. The room was stuffy the carpet was old and had holes in it. The curtains were going rotten and had small holes in them. The decor... More

Dated room, although it was large (probably it's only redeeming feature). Could not get the taps for the bath to work so filled the tub from the shower. NO air conditioning, 34 degrees! Friday and Saturday nights the pub downstairs blasts music until 1AM! We were happy this was only a 2 night stop.

We booked a bay view room upstairs. I think the bathroom had gone through a recent renovation because it was pretty new compared to the rest of the room that was very dated, probably never upgraded since the hotel was built. The room was very large and clean though with a beautiful view overlooking the bay. Very convenient location with... More
