The rooms are quite old, but they are value for money during the winter. Shower over bath, with plenty of hot water and good pressure... exhaust fan would be useful We stayed in winter so very quiet during night. It is a old motel so if you are used to all the bells and whistles I would not suggest this... More

Worst accomodation. Better off in the backseat of a car. The rooms are so old, they have saggy mattresses and the cold air comes through all the doors and is unbearable. $120 for a poolside room is theft

The room was very basic and the heater wasn't very warm. Bathroom facility was old. Wouldn't recommend it but if you are on a budget then this might be the one. Check out the electric blankets. The beds have them but they are tucked away. Very useful for cold nights during winter. They have very nice restaurant down the road... More

When we booked this motel, there were several prices available,so we decided to chose a better type room I.e.upstairs bay view with modern bathroom room, purely as it looks much nicer with a modern bathroom(that has been renovated).paying top price for this particular style room. Upon check-in( reception unattended check-in at bar counter, although arrival tine was around 3pm) given key to our... More

I ordered a meal in dining room to consume in the bar as the dining room was fully booked. I waited in the bar for the meal amongst extremely noisy and yelling local patrons enjoying themselves hence 45 mins later on enquiring where my meal was told ah here it is on the bar counter on the bar mans side.... Travelling from Launceston down the East Coast of Tassie to Hobart on our honeymoon, we wanted a convenient overnight stay between towns. Bayside Inn at St Helens was perfect as it was easy to find and contained a restaurant, bar and lounge as well as the accommodation. This was very relevant to us on the date we stayed there as... A bit of a blast from the past, old & needing some refurbishment - but it's a clean & comfortable hotel Large rooms with good TV's The Bistro downstairs serves good pub style food and the bar is a popular place with locals the main thing that impressed us about the bayside was how friendly & helpful the staff were... The beautiful views from our 'balcony' over the bay made our visit for us. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the motel is very convenient for travelling on the east coast of Tasi. I would definitely recommend this motel.
