We loved the immaculately kept area, clean rooms and wide range of utensils. Your home away from home. A little dated perhaps, but that's the charm of it! Current owner Darryl keeps some of his farm animals here and kids will love the menagerie right out the backyard. You can see horses, cows, alpaca, budgerigars, pea-hens, parrots - now the... More

loved staying here, wished we had stayed longer. Spotless if dated (no big deal) 2 bedroom fully self contained, has its own laundy with washing machine (no dryer but washing line and it dried in no time) 2 minutes in the car to town, it's on a road but didn't hear any noise. The owner was lovely. Animals all round... More

This accommodation is a family owned business with a selection of 1,2 or three bedrooms. Immaculate grounds and very well maintained and comfortable units with plenty of room. Tucked away on a quiet road it is very peaceful. Two or three minute drive to foreshore area or thirty minute walk. Overall very good.

We stayed one night here . The owner was real nice and the unit was very comfortable . It had every thing you would need including an auto washing machine. Its also close to town and was a sensible price.

The accomodation was very clean, and the bed was comfy.. The unit is dated, but at the price we paid we expected that., and it did not concern us . The chap at reception was friendly & helpful. There was a washing machine but no dryer...a clothesline was just outside the door, but unfortunately the rain on the 2 days... More

The owners of Kellraine Units repeatedly violated our privacy, were extremely rude, and seemed to feel they had the right to treat their guests like children. The service was non-existent. No making of beds, no cleaning of units. Each day we would be criticised because we had left a few crumbs on the bench or one item was out of... More

Darryl and Gayle provide a great option for budget accommodation with everything we needed. The units are a bit old, but provide great value for money. Service was fantastic and the location good, being just a short walk to town.

How would you like to stay in your own unit, with kitchen and laundry, a place to sit outside with birds, alpacas, cows, and sheep right nearby, yet be in a quiet neighborhood? These folks are kind and accommodating. I've read the other reviews. Yes, furnishings are a little outdated. Yes, the wifi was spotty at best. But we basically... More

Whilst the units are in a lovely location with sheep paddocks behind the buildings all the vista in the world does not make up for the interior of the units. The units themselves, driveways, and garden are lovely and neat, the interior takes you straight back to the 70's. The furniture is very dated and some of the furnishings have... More

Although not the most glamorous, or cheapest of places to stay in St. Helens, I was glad I stayed here when I was feeling ill after a dodgy scallop pie (from Bicheno). The accommodation is quite dated, though very clean. The kitchen facilities are basic. The shower had great pressure and temperature. Laying in bed feeling sorry for myself, I... More
