1- check-in Waited half an hour before anyone turned up! 2- room Dirty and cold 3- dinner Took forever and wasn't up to scratch for the price they were charging. There's another option the Ross motel, will stay there on my next rip. Or shearers and shooters across the road does brilliant food.

spent Halloween in Ross, but no ghosts or ghouls. simple basic rooms, communal bathrooms, but for $65, total bargain. could have been cleaner, but only if you looked hard! three of us all had an excellent dinner in the dining room, not many tassie pubs could beat it. publican lyn was a great hostess, and natilee on the bar took... Stopped here after visiting the Ross Female Factory. Friendly staff were very knowledgeable about the history of the local area. Good food, nice fire and child-friendly. We had already booked accommodation elsewhere but will definitely stay here next time we're in Ross.

Ross is a beautiful and Historic country Hotel. You really should do yourself a favor and visit this fantastic establishment for a beverage or two. The beer was lovely, the staff friendly. Whislt we regrettably did not eat at the restaurant, the menue seemed to have something available for all. The pub was very busy on this nondescript Sunday night... More

This is a very nice country pub. The room was clean and warm, bathrooms were shared. Cost was $65 a night. Free WiFi.There were electric blankets in the bed which came in handy. Downstairs the public area had 2 fires going, 8 different drinks on tap, a pool table and no poker machines, which was great as these machines really... More

As it is the ONLY pub in town, the Man O'Ross has little competition. But, like many tourists, we were just travelling thru on our way south and spent a wonderful 18 hrs in Ross. Everything worth seeing in historic Ross is within walking distance of most accom............especially the Ross Motel and Caravan Park. So a stop in at the... More

I had a really pleasant stay at the Man O'Ross, from beginning to the end. Arrived by the Red Line bus, the kitchen was unfortunately closed. But when the staff heard I had nothing to eat since I left Brisbane, they did fix me dinner. The room was simple and clean; just as advertised on the website. For the breakfast,... More

Worth calling in for a drink if you find yourself in Ross on a winter's night. Friendly publican on our visit amd we enjoyed some "pub grub" - big servings but average food. A nice historic pub in a lovely historical town

1 point for a very nice, good value dinner. 1 point for good pillows other than that ...! There was no heating in the room & temp fell to 1C during the night. Curtains in room full of dead flies and moths and everything had a layer of dust. The tv did not work but you could watch tv in... More

We were recommended this hotel for dinner by the Ross Motel and what a treat it was was, great atmosphere on the garden court yard. Top class meals at an affordable price washed down with some local brew, located on the middle of town easily accessible parking at front door. Great place would love to go back again .
