We have been calling into Ross Bakery for ten years on our way (and return) North from Hobart to work and visit family. Our most recent visits were this week. We always go for the sausage rolls (large) !!! Occasionally they can be a little dry if you leave it until after lunch but overall they are lovely. Pasties are... More

The Ross Bakery Inn was a unique, spur of the moment thought for a weekend away at the end of last summer. My friend and I decided we would travel north to the weekend market at Evandale some 20+ minutes out of Launceston and, rather than make the full trip early on the Sunday morning would find accommodation for the... We were 3 people and lucky enough to stay at Kristy's cottage. Fantastic with separate bedrooms, huge Kitchen, lounge room. Nice and warm, Great Breakfast at Bakery and you take leftovers...Vanilla slice very nice, no rubbish icing, very creamy. Would go back

The vanilla slice was absolutely fantastic and definitely lived up to expectations! I had to wait for the fifth slice to be prepared, as they were walking out the door. A true vanilla slice with no rubbish icing, delicious creamy vanilla filling. Not sure what sure what the previous reference to lemon zing was, it's a vanilla custard??? A lovely... More

Bought vanilla slices after reading how good they supposedly were. Very disappointing have had much better ones, they were not even iced and the filling was frothy with little lemon zing. Bakery no better than most others and not cheap.

I recently had 1 night at Ross Bakery. It was reminiscent of the B&Bs I've stayed in travelling around England. If you're into modern luxury, sanitised white walls and tiled bathrooms this is not for you - but we loved it. Good service, clean comfortable rooms, a great bakery breakfast (you take what you can't eat for later) and really... More

We booked the cottage for a night during our travels in Tasmania looking for a variety of experiences during our travels. Pros: The cottage was in the centre of town allowing for easy walks around the historic buildings etc. A sample platter of goodies from the bakery awaited us in the cottage and a lovely breakfast at the bakery the... What a gem of a BnB! I was greeted warmly by Karl, and shown to my room. I was staying in Kiki's room, named after a Japanese anime film. This wasn't the reason I chose the room, however reading the many guestbooks indicate it is for a lot of people! The room is in an attic, up a steep flight... More

We had two nights at Ross Bakery Inn and found it be nice all round BUT WAIT FOR IT the bakery food was beautiful. A very nice bakery breakfast which you help yourself too, plus what you don't eat in your range of breakfast bakery bread you can take with you for the days outing. Our room did have a... More

There are many positives to a stay at the Ross Bakery Inn. For a start, the staff are welcoming and the bakery breakfast is great (as well as the coffee it comes with, which thus far is by far the best coffee I've had in Tasmania - I can even compare it to Melbourne coffee). Ross itself is a great... More
