We stayed in the historic township of Ross in Tasmania and chose the Ross riverside caravan park to camp. It is the most darling spot, and very very pretty. The whole little town has such appeal if you like the old cottages and beautiful sandstone churches. Everything about this place was beautiful. The caravan park had the cleanest toilet and... More

If you are looking for three star or better accommodation , well this is not the place for you. You really need to stay in the cottage to experience somewhat what life was like in Tasmania's early days. This cottage has evolved over the past 170 years. Modern convienences like running water and power have been added. Most of the... More

Just had a lovely lunch and read reviews about previous visits, they must have got rid of young girl as all the staff were lovely today and had a good long chat with owner who was very friendly. One of my best coffees in all of Aus. Had the recently awarded sausage roll and the vanilla slice, wow - very... More

I visited the Ross Village Bakery & Inn recently with my partner after previously visiting alone and everything was terrific. Very impressed with the quality and price, we even ended up staying the night at the Inn. Very clean and warm and the breakfast included the following morning was fabulous which included some prize winning sourdough, excellent.

I was recommended to come here as i travel throughout Tasmania every couple of months. I was very disappointed by the rude female working behind the counter. She was unhelpful and patronising and left me feeling uneasy. I sat in my car while i waited for my takeaway. The bread was stale that they used for my sandwich. Its a... More

We stopped for morning tea on Mon, Oct 20, in the delightful village of Ross. While the four of us were waiting to be served we were very disappointed to witness a young woman behind the counter dealing with an Asian customer who was trying to settle his bill with a credit card. The staffer kept repeating in an aggressive... More

My actual review for this accommodation was back in early January 2014. The title being "Good Old Accommodation" there has been a mistake made with the overall rating with there only being one marked. The rating I wrote should have been 4 as you will see if you read the feedback. We were very happy with our stay at this... More

We have been calling into Ross Bakery for ten years on our way (and return) North from Hobart to work and visit family. Our most recent visits were this week. We always go for the sausage rolls (large) !!! Occasionally they can be a little dry if you leave it until after lunch but overall they are lovely. Pasties are... More

The Ross Bakery Inn was a unique, spur of the moment thought for a weekend away at the end of last summer. My friend and I decided we would travel north to the weekend market at Evandale some 20+ minutes out of Launceston and, rather than make the full trip early on the Sunday morning would find accommodation for the...
