Was great that there were separate bedrooms. Bathroom was a little small but still usable. Rooms were neat and tidy and prices were very reasonable. Was ideally located so that we could walk through the town and stop for coffee or dinner on the way. Beautiful town.

Very comfortable. Stayed 2 nights. As owner isn't present breakfast is left in fridge. We were misinformed as to the room we were in and others had taken part of our breakfast. Had to leave msge for owner ....no response. Not major...but annoying. You pay for a service and expect to receive it Room comfortable. Not serviced for second night.... More

Stayed one night in the Music room - shabby chic bed uncomfortable and squeaky. Tv poorly positioned on wall behind the door. En suite shower cubicle tiny don't be overweight if staying here. Continental breakfast a joke - frozen bread with margerine , choice of two cereals and who knows what the milk was?.. Would not recommend or stay again... More

We stayed in this delightful self contained accommodation for one night. The room we had was the Music Room and we found it to be very comfortable with a great bed, quality linen and adjoining bathroom. The B&B also has other rooms for guests and the light and sunny breakfast room (even in winter) was a terrific area to enjoy... More

We stayed in 'The Music Room' which had crisp cotton bedding, very comfortable bed and all the bits and pieces that a thoughtful host would provide.High standard of cleanliness too. Continental breakfast was DIY, which is great because you are not tied to set times.. You can use the microwave in the airy, light dining room for a meal in... More

Hudson cottage is in itself reasonable, comfortable and cosy with plenty of wood for the fire, electric blankets and a serviceable bathroom. It was clean and the basics were there however a few more pots would make cooking a bit easier we had booked for 3 nights. The really disappointing thing is although the property is up for sale and... More

Unfortunately we stayed here for one night. From the beginning the stay was disappointing. There was a mix-up with the room we had booked, and we had to contact the "host" by phone as the property is managed from Launceston. There is no-one on site to assist with any problems. The room was dirty with cobwebs and dead insects in... More

We diverted off the main highway on a whim and were completely taken by surprise with Ross. We stayed one night in Captain Samuel's Cottage and what a gem. Beautifully restored, clean, all the amenities you could need. The host was fantastic, even shared a wine and a chat with us later after we came back from dinner. I loved... More

I arrived mid afternoon and called the manager on the phone. There is no Reception and I was the only one staying that night. The room was excellent, very clean and tidy. I was on a motorbike and there was undercover parking at the rear of the house. The location is excellent and very quiet. The meal at the local... More

We stayed in Hudson House, which is one of the houses in this group of cottages. Ross is a beautiful little township and the work the owners have done on this cottage in restoration work is amazing. Having said that, we found it disappointing. The bedspread in the main bedroom hadn't been washed and had blood on it, there wasn't... More
