We stayed in 'The Music Room' which had crisp cotton bedding, very comfortable bed and all the bits and pieces that a thoughtful host would provide.High standard of cleanliness too. Continental breakfast was DIY, which is great because you are not tied to set times.. You can use the microwave in the airy, light dining room for a meal in... More

Hudson cottage is in itself reasonable, comfortable and cosy with plenty of wood for the fire, electric blankets and a serviceable bathroom. It was clean and the basics were there however a few more pots would make cooking a bit easier we had booked for 3 nights. The really disappointing thing is although the property is up for sale and... More

Unfortunately we stayed here for one night. From the beginning the stay was disappointing. There was a mix-up with the room we had booked, and we had to contact the "host" by phone as the property is managed from Launceston. There is no-one on site to assist with any problems. The room was dirty with cobwebs and dead insects in... More

We diverted off the main highway on a whim and were completely taken by surprise with Ross. We stayed one night in Captain Samuel's Cottage and what a gem. Beautifully restored, clean, all the amenities you could need. The host was fantastic, even shared a wine and a chat with us later after we came back from dinner. I loved... More

I arrived mid afternoon and called the manager on the phone. There is no Reception and I was the only one staying that night. The room was excellent, very clean and tidy. I was on a motorbike and there was undercover parking at the rear of the house. The location is excellent and very quiet. The meal at the local... More

We stayed in Hudson House, which is one of the houses in this group of cottages. Ross is a beautiful little township and the work the owners have done on this cottage in restoration work is amazing. Having said that, we found it disappointing. The bedspread in the main bedroom hadn't been washed and had blood on it, there wasn't... More

This is one to avoid in Ross. My homework let me down so I hope your doesn't! Fortunately we only stayed on night. We were surprised to find the hosts do not live in. You arrive and speak to a intercom and get your key from a safe. Later we were told by a local the owner lives in Launceston?... More

I was unaware when booking that this property was unhosted and that no one would be there to meet us. I found the instructions for contacting the owner confusing and so we waited over an hour to be let in. The rooms were small but very clean and also very quiet. The property is set in the centre of this... More

Based on our experience, this cottage did not come up to scratch, no where near. We arrived for a two night stay, that had been paid for in advance, but we could not bare to stay another night after the first one, and ruin our holiday, so we checked out and moved on. The cottage was cold, smelt damp and... More

This place was simply put far too expensive for what was provided. The coffee making facilities were the bare minimum. It does benefit from an apparition. If only he brought some service! It was clean but compared to other places we utilised it cannot be recommended
