We booked a deluxe bush view cabin but upgraded to water view when we got there for $10. Worth the money! Views were stunning and rooms were very nice and bed really comfy. We didn't use the spa unfortunately. Didn't like having to wash my own dishes when we were paying $210 a night but oh well. Breakfast in the... More

If a little quiet. Wow was it quiet. Beautiful water view. Clean cabin but without any room service / minibar. The restaurant was closed, and there was nothing around. It was a little disappointing. Twisties for dinner it was. This was made a little better by breakfast the next morning in Taylor's Restaurant. Susan helped us and her service was... More

This was our first night in Tasmania, at Port Arthur. The Lodges were a bit like an Australian version of Center Parcs – wooden huts in a forest. They were comfortable, if a little cool. However, it was mid-winter and therefore not exactly peak season so not the kind of weather they were designed for [CenterParcs can also be a... More

My husband and I stayed here for only one night as a stop over to see the Port Arthur historic site, and we were pleasantly surprised. We requested and payed for a 'bush view' room as we figured for one afternoon/night it wasn't worth paying the extra, however upon arrival our room had a wonderful view of the water! Even... More

Stayed in Winter 2014. Sad to say, having experienced many lodges in Tasmania, this one was very overpriced; the staff kept on bumping up the price. $128.35 for two nights per person for 6 people in a cabin (there were two groups of us) is too much, considering the state of the cabins and the Lodge itself. It was more... More

Stewart's Bay Lodge is a lovely resort near Port Arthur, the former convict colony in Tasmania. In fact, the lodge office will sell you an entrance ticket to Port Arthur and you can walk along the bay to the historic site. My husband and I had a lovely, modern wooden cabin with two bedrooms, living room with large-screen TV and... More

Clean, warm, cosy and spacious. We loved our room overlooking the bay and enjoyed a glass of wine and watching the sun set. It was equally good to see it rise from our bed the following morning. Although the service by the reception staff was lack lustre - we felt we were interrupting their afternoon by making enquiries about whether... More

We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins and highly recommend it. Cabins were very clean and warm and provided plenty of space. The spa bath was a relaxing addition. A short walk along the bay takes you straight to the historical site. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and reasonably priced. If you decide to say in Port Arthur,... More

I'm writing this from another accommodation place just 15 minutes away. Why you may ask? Because the person in reception really didn't seem to care if I stayed or not. I was more than happy to pay a premium for my accomm ( been at saffire, Henry jones and peppers in the previous week) if it suited my needs. Accommodation... More

A lovely spot and our extra 10 dollars for a sea view was worth it. Good kitchen facilities and cd player plus hairdryer :) the spa is out of order. Excellent coffee at Gabriel's. Lovely walk around to Port Arthur and in other direction to garden point. Spotted wallabies and bandicoots on grounds.
