From the outside appearance it looks very nice and there is not much to compare with in this area. Port Arthur is really a tiny village. But from the reception onwards all is a bit rough and basic. Rooms are clean but draby and the little views there might be are spoiled by vegetation too close to windows. Then the... More

From the outside this looks like a lovely English themed hotel but don't be fooled. The accommodation is very sub standard. The check in is slow, the small milk carton handed to me was out of date and the rooms are very basic to say the least. Not since the sixties have I experienced such a dreadful configuration of a... This is a very busy place, due to its proximity to Port Arthur attractions, and when I booked, was lucky to get a room since they had a coach booked in. We had stayed here before, and returned because of the Olde Worlde charm but sadly it appears the rooms have not been upgraded in that time. On the positive... More

Liked the look of this place which is obviously Mock Tudor but the reality didn't live up to hopeful expectations. The reception area was dark, so followed the old fashioned theme, but the dining room was slightly dingy and the service plainly lacking. The barman looked like he was the gardener being pressed into unwilling service (tattoos and overly casual)... More

Stayed here as part of a coach party. Have to say it is not somewhere I would have selected myself. The rooms are more like what I imagine a Butlins Chalet would have been like. The main wooden entrance door had a 2inch gap at the bottom so let the draught in, I was not one of the lucky ones... More

This hotel is a mock Tudor English style pub with 'rustic' units surrounding it, I believe it was built in the 1970s. As we opened the plank door of our unit I should have realised that this place was probably not for us. The room was very small with 2 single beds, the shower was on the left of the... More

We stayed her for two nights. Room is spacious but outdated. Bed was ok. Fridge a little dirty/old. The wifi was only in the restaurant/bar but even there it did not work. We went out to Felons for food as we did not really like the look and feel (sticky) of the restaurant. It is not much more then a... More

This is one of the few places to stay near Port Arthur. My accommodation was more like a housekeeping cottage without a kitchen. It was clean but basic with lino floors and a prefab shower. The main building is mock Tudor with a "ye old" dining room full of horse brasses. The food, however, was excellent. Dinner was delicious and... More

Other accommodations were booked and this was our only choice which turned out to be not so good. The room, while large and with a nice view of the lake, was not air conditioned and had only a fan stuck on the wall which was taped so that you could not adjust it. The door was not securely sealed and... More

Had an excellent deal and great room obscured by trees but nevertheless very nice lookout. Our room was very spacious with table and chairs together with sofa to relax. The kitchen was small and shared with the bathroom sink?? There is supposed to be free internet in the restaurant but we couldn’t connect at all. We ate in the restaurant... More
