Fox and Hound provided good value for money, with good size unit for our family, that allowed us to function in comfort. The rooms were well kept and maintained for there age and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in other accommodation on previous trips to Port Arthur, but as far as value for money goes... More

The room looked ok on arrival but was very cold. We turned on the heater but it put out about as much heat as a toaster. The bathroom was split with the shower and toilet in one area and the wash basin across the other side with no door. Bathroom was not very clean and mouldy. There was no hot... More

Not the nicest of places, especially considering there is nothing else for 60km either side of Port Arthur. Quite dirty and the rooms need updating badly. If I wasn't staying with my partner and brother I would have felt very unsafe. The food at the restaurant was ok, nothing to write home about and there was absolutely no atmosphere at... More

Set in a very eerie at night but breathtaking in the morning location, this little motel was absolutely delightful. We were there purely for port Arthur so was only in the little cottage to sleep but it was a very cozy stay. There is a little kitchenette which is very convenient because there are no restaurants that won't break the... More

The staff at the motel were helpful and friendly however the rooms need to be renovated. The room we stayed in had a quite noticeable gap under the door and as it had been windy all the leaves and bark had been blown under the door. We had to use a towel to block the draft. I am glad we... More

My family and I stayed here for 1 night. My wife was very unsettled and freaked out the whole time. The decor is old and tired, beds uncomfortable and the restaurant is very dark and dingy! Having done later research, I now understand why the unsettled feeling. An old motel which sadly needs updating. No phone or internet reception, the... More

Loved this motel as the rooms were very spacious and the sunny view from the large windows of the mountains and water were fabulous. Loved the decor of the Hotel and the food was quite good. If you are visiting Port Arthur or doing a Port Arthur Ghost tour This Hotel/Motel is only 1km away I would definately stay here... More

Stayed here due to proximity to Port Arthur tourist attraction. Rooms were reasonable price but were cold. The entrance sign said last upgraded 2008, this should be removed,The unit was a bit tired, Only one of the twin beds had an electric blanket. The staff were average. When dining we had to order drinks from the bar then were given... More

We stayed for one night at The Fox and Hounds, Port Arthur and wished we could have stayed longer but due to our schedule, we couldn't. We turned up quite late, the staff were very friendly and accommodating; the chef whipped up a wonderful hearty and tasty meal for us. We stayed in the "honeymoon suite" which was lovely with...
