Where do I begin ? This place is in a nice location. And that's where it ends. Upon arrival reception was closed just after 12 pm. Had to go hunting for an employee to check in. Was pointed in the wrong direction to my room. Got into the room which was really dirty. The bed was full of rust and... More

One of the things that drew us to staying here was because of its close proximity to the historic Port Arthur. We had organized to do the ghost tour the night we stayed so it was great to be able to just walk down from our room. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, although as others have said we... More

Superbly located on the historic site with direct access to the grounds. We had an interconnecting room, traveling with two teenage children. The rooms were clean, well serviced and spacious. The restaurant was high quality and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Stayed here in Oct 14 for one night. The rooms itself are fine and clean. My issue was more so with the price given the accommodation itself and lack of wifi as advertised. Had it been cheaper and we had known the wifi would not work in the rooms, then might give this a 4. Would prob give it a... More

Heard this place is haunted. It kind of added to the thrill of the place though. An interesting experience all around. Adequate accommodation in a really excellent location. You can get an Officers Row room overlooking the historic ruins, or you can get the Guards Row room which is further back. Guards Row rooms are cheaper and probably less haunted.

Very nice motel with stunning views over port Arthur from the dinning room. It was clead, great bed and duvet, first rate shower, quiet and very pretty. Not much at port Arthur itself as local post office and general store has burnt down. Walking around port Arthur and looking at ruins was not really !y thing - I can do... More

Really close to walk into Port Arthur but rooms are very small and basic, bed was extremely uncomfortable, hard springs and making a lot of noise, we stayed in the revamped Officers rooms. Dinner and staff were fantastic

we booked for 2 nights as we wanted to spend a full day in the port Arthur historic site we had a guards room which included a queen bed and king single bed, very clean and comfortable, kettle and tea and coffee making facilities but no toaster, breakfast can be purchased in the motel restaurant if required along with dinner... Ideally located, literally at the gate to the Port Arthur Penal Settlement. Your room key opens the gate to the settlement for easy walking access to the site. The motel is showing its age, but has obviously had some renovations. The rooms are clean, spacious and well furnished, although the bathroom, in particular the shower, is still very 70s. It... More

Excellent value, inexpensive buffet continental breakfast and convenient location. Ate dinner in the motel restaurant looking over heritage site then just needed to stroll down to the ghost tour. If you don't want to lug bags up about 8 stairs make sure to call and request the rooms without stairs. Otherwise great
