We stayed in this old style motel on a recent trip to Port Arthur. We found it to be clean and tidy and perfectly located adjacent to the ruins. You can pay and enter the ruins from the motel, but you still have to walk up to the visitor Centre to get your lanyard to display around your neck. That... More

Lovely motel that we spent four nights. Clean and well appointed. Rooms had fridges. Best part was the electric blankets on the beds. Room overlooked the historic site so had a slightly eerie feel! Pub is a good old local aussie affair. And the restaurant serves pretty decent food. Chicken parmigiana being up there with the best i had in... More

We stayed for a night mid January. The room is a bit dated but it's clean, functional and a great price. The staff were very friendly, the food fantastic (especially the local fish) and the view from the restaurant over Port Arthur is worth seeing. We booked the Ghost tour through the motor inn which turned out to be a... More

Our family of three adults and three children checked in. We enjoyed the accomodation and found the staff friendly and welcoming. All who attended to us appeared to be from one family. Rooms were comfortable and tidy. My restaurant meal of Lamb Shanks was huge and most enjoyable. The red wine selection was more than appealing, as were the lovely... More

Good value and good location. Room had views across Port Arthur. Room was very old and in need of renovation and very small and lacked facilities. It had no mobile phone coverage. The restaurant has amazing views across Port Arthur. The food was well presented. The staff were very accommodating.

Paid $99 for one night. The Port Arthur Motor Inn is the closest accommodation to the historic site in Port Arthur. Your room key actually opens up the gate from the property leading into the historic site! We checked in via their bar as there was nobody in the reception; which was fine. Room was a little rundown with those... More

If I have a choice I won't stay in Port Arthur next time I visit here. This motel is right next to the historic site and I'm worried there might be some invisible visitors in the midnight. Haha, just joking. It's really good value for one night stay, old but clean. The staff is very friendly. The best is the... More

Arrived late due to sightseeing on the way, rang ahead, arrangements regarding rooms and keys were organised no problem. Had time to go into the restaurant to have a drink and admire view of Port Arthur. Room was big, clean and it was quiet. Only negative was that unable to park car close to room though they provide a car... More

We stayed here overnight in 2 rooms. The rooms are very good and clean, but the walls dividing are paper thin so of you get neighbours who are noisy then...? The restaurant was good with the usual items for a motel but I chose the seafood platter and said I didn't like oysters so instead they served me tinned smoked... More

Great location to the historic site...the lady at reception was most helpful...who later greeted us for our dining experience in the restaurant. Waitstaff were friendly...delicious meals from our entree's to our mains and to top it off...dining with a view. We were pleased to pay a little extra for a room overlooking the historic site...the room was clean...but dated.
