Upon arrival there was no reception and we were directed to the pub. Check in went smoothly and we went and found our room. We had booked the cheapest room so weren't expecting a lot but we did expect a bathroom that we could use. The layout of the shower meant it was impossible for my husband to actually use... More

This is the second time I've stayed at the Port Arthur Motor Inn and there is no better location for those visiting the Port Arthur Historic site. You have key access to the site from a gate on the grounds of the hotel and can walk back there after the ghost tour! The staff were great ... we arrived at... More

The Port Arthur Motor Inn is a nice little establishment on the Port Arthur Site. A friend and I stayed here in June and had a great experience. We booked an accommodation, ghost tour and dinner package through the inn and the staff were most helpful in answering all of our questions. Our room on the porch was nice, clean... More

very dated but.. clean and comfortable ... staff were so helpful nothing to much trouble.... brilliant meal in the restaurant. also had access to Port Author tourist site free of charge was included . only issue would be the size of the shower .... very small..... but apart from that would recommend this motel as great value for money

We arrived well before check- in time and were very grateful to be told that we could go straight to our room and that the heater had been turned on in advance for us! The owner Audrey runs a tight ship and nothing is too hard in looking after her guests, not to mention her wealth of knowledge about the... More

Worst accommodation on our travels! This is not a motel....there are no facilities in the rooms for breakfast other than a kettle and a couple of mugs! The rooms are dated and very grimy. We had to move rooms as the brown water would not drain in the bathroom sink and smelt. Maintenance came and wanted to pour acid cleaner... More

We thought given the location that the standard would be better. The room was very dated. We had to squeeze the car into a very tight space outside room. The shower was small, cramped and oppressive. The wall lights fused and we were told that it was most probably the fittings on the roof had water in them as it... More

Dated looking rooms, bed was comfortable. Upon arrival, during checkin, we had asked for a map of Port Arthur (for places to eat, local shopping etc) and told that we could get one in the morning, unfortunately only being in Port Arthur for one night receiving the map in the morning wouldn't come of any use. The manageress then told... More

The best thing about this accomodation is the location.it overlooks the Port Arthur Historical Site..it was glorious sitting on the verandah outside our room and watching the sunset and sunrise over the all the old buildings. The motel itself could do with a bit of updating its getting a bit old but our room was warm ( it's winter )... More

Like: Value for money, car parked in front, warm room & bathroom, nice restaurant with fireplace, clean. USP: conveniently next to the Historic Site. Audrey was especially helpful & friendly. Not-so-good: a bit dated, but not an issue at all for the price paid.
