I'm rewriting this and trying to be more positive after the manageress commented that I was a "whinger" when I rated this as less than average the first time around. As far as I am concerned, this property meets my criteria for a good night's accommodation, but only just, and depending how you assess it. What should one expect of... More

We stayed two nights in these spacious units, they were reasonably well appointed and had laundry facilities available to guests. They are centrally placed in Penguin and easy walking distance to shops etc. Good value accommodation and facilities and friendly staff.

As address is on main road, not the quietest of hotels we've stayed at- probably compounded by fact there is a glass louvre window (although closed) above front door which lets in quite a bit of noise. If staying on a fri /sat night there is a pub across the road so be prepared for some noise from that (and... More

We had told our travel agent that we were having a holiday for our 30th wedding anniversary. When we entered our room there was a vase of flowers and a box of chocolates on the table with a card from the management wishing us a Happy Anniversary. What a nice thought! The room was very spacious with good cooking facilities... More

My room was quite big, very clean and well decorated, well equipped kitchen, but very hot as the windows don't open and the fan was noisy and too strong. There was hanging space for clothes, but no drawers. Staff were very helpful as I arrived early evening when the local shop was sold out of fresh foods, and she gave... More

We stayed here for a few nights, there is a not a lot of choice in Penguin as it's a small town but this place was fine. The room was spacious with two double beds (one may be queen) and a fold out couch. It wasn't warm enough for us, we found the heater inadequate but the electric blankets on... More

We booked this accommodation on the internet months before spending two days in Penguin for Christmas so too late to try something different. Large room with well equiped kitchen Expensive IGA grocery a few blocks down the street. Two double beds for three people - both beds very uncomfortable. Seemed we were really putting the owner out by showing up... More
