This place is just brilliant. The colonial atmosphere is spot on, beds are comfortable and it very quiet. When we stayed it was $120 a night which included an excellent full breakfast and this represents extremely good value. Very Highly recommended

We stayed one night at Oatlands Lodge and it was lovely. Gerard and Danny were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are comfortable and well-quipped with everything you could possibly need, from hairdryer to iron. The breakfast is, to say the least, daunting in size but delicious. Dinner in Oatlands is a bit of a problem... More

Don't bother with anything else. The boys have it all under control. You will want for nothing, especially if you time your meals around their crepe cafe opening hours so you don't have to go to the pub !

Oatlands Lodge is in an excellent location and it was very easy to find. I had to make several calls and knock and several doors (pancake place down the street) before I could find someone to let me in. I had a reservation, but I was the only person staying. Luckily another couple showed up looking for accommodation and they... More

what a place, just so great, they couldn't do enough for us, even stayed an extra night, breakfast was a feast, even took pictures of the table setting to show our children, the place was like we had stepped into the late 1800's or early 1900's but with all the present day comforts

Like staying in an antique shop. Very comfortable. First night open after winter close - had whole place to ourselves. Danny was a wonderful host and the breakfast was delicious and HUGE!! :) Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home, Danny made us welcome, noticed we drank soy milk and had it on hand for us and after reading the good reviews on his breakfasts we were keen to try breakfast. He did not disappoint...we had a lovely hot breakfast of generous proportions. The only downside for us is that it was... More

We stayed at Oatlands Lodge with friends during a trip from Hobart to Launceston. This is a classic Georgian building in stone. It was warm and comfortable. There is an eclectic collection of antique furntiture, art, crystal and bibs and bobs. Danny welcomed us and the following morning cooked a ful English style breakfast with poached eggs, saausage, bacon, baked... More

My wife and I spent a week at the lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. This very nice heritage facility makes an excellent base from which to tour Tasmania. Danny is a gracious and knowledgeable host. The freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding! We can't wait to come back. Be sure to stop at Danny and Gerard's Pancake and Crepe... More
