The accommodation was fair, clean and comfortable - negatives were ,poor phone reception in area and the lounge sagged in middle. Found it quiet a pretty spot and very convenient to the Russell falls only 100metres over the bridge from the Russell falls tourism park.

The cottages have recently been renovated and are clean. Lisa was a great host to coordinate everything with. The location is great, you can walk to the National Park Hotel for a drink, walk to the park, walk to the river for fishing.

We stayed 2 nights at the Cottages in a one bedroom cabin. Host Lisa was fabulously friendly and welcoming. The cabin was warm, well equipped and also had its own laundry area and appliances. There is a cooktop and microwave but no oven. Its location was excellent being at the entrance of Mt Fields National Park that gives access to... More

We stayed here in cottage no 1 (right by the river and just at the entrance to the Nat park). It was raining when we arrived and poured all night , so in the morning the Russell Falls looked and sounded like a mini Niagara falls! If it hadn't been for the location, we would have been a little disappointed... More

I enjoy reading comments of how guests enjoyed their stay. I am sorry for the few whos expectations were not met. We have planted trees along the fense line to block out salmon farm. Being next door to salmon farm is great for our fishing enthusiasts. Fresh healthy clean plentiful salmon.

Beautiful area. Cottages old and not very clean. Spiders and webs all around the ceiling. Old carpets. The kitchen's been partly updated. There was no soap provided. Salmon hatchery at the back is a bit downside. Would not stay there again.

We had had stayed at Russell Falls Cottages ten years previously and in that time they have had a makeover. Our cottage was well equipped for a family with nice gardens and lots of open space including a creek close by. The accommodation is located just outside the national park and is well priced. The only downside is the salmon... More

We only strayed for 1 night, but had a great experience. You are literally on the doorstep of Mt Field NP, which makes it great to explore the NP. We were extremely lucky this stay and only had a shower in the evening, which makes it all just that bit nicer. The apartments were nice and clean, but a bit... More

You can get no closer to Mount Field National Park than staying at Russell Falls Cottages, literally next to the park gate. We have stayed here before, and were not disappointed with our second stay, and the cottages had been extensively upgraded. Had a lovely deck out the back overlooking the creek, surrounded by greenery, lots of birds - lovely... More
