Naracoopa is the pick of all the areas to stay at on King Island. It is quiet and peaceful and at this time of the year, the bay and the beach is almost all one's own. Rhonda and John's cottages are set back from the road in immaculately kept gardens with excellent views across the bay and out to sea.... More

Thank you for the kind words about our seaside cottages. We are always thrilled to hear our guests enjoyed King Island and the cottage accommodation. As a matter of fact we might just do what you suggested, enjoy the beauty of the view over a wee glass. More

All we hoped for and more. We had planned this 3 night/4 day break for a while in anticipation of our 25th wedding anniversary. John and Rhonda were truly magnificent hosts and everything we didn't even know we wanted was at our disposal. Naracoopa, on the eastern side of the island, was quiet and peaceful. We were given the heads... More

Glad you enjoyed your King Island break. There is an awful lot of wildlife on this island I must say, 1600 people 600,000 wallabies not to mention all the other wildlife. Thank you for the great review. More

If you choose to stay here you will only need to provide your own clothing, food (tea and coffee provided) and toiletries (soap provided); added bonus is soap powder in the laundry room. After spending the day exploring the island it was a wonderful 'home' to return to. Exploration was made easier with the provision of fold up chairs,a Thermos,... More

A view to die for among lush green lawns and child-friendly gardens. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and could not have asked for anything (mainly because John and Rhonda have already thought of it and provided it for you!!!) We barbecued on a wood fire each night par-taking in of course the "King Island" well known steak and... More

Thanks for the great review. The rustic old wood-fired bbq - a King Island steak, a glass of red and the magnificent views - it's hard to beat. Now and again when we have no guests we use it ourselves. We're glad you and your family enjoyed our Slice of Paradise. More

This beautiful place is so tranquil that the only noise comes from the numerous superb fairy wrens. It is nestled into an immaculate garden overlooking the ocean and being on the eastern side of the island it experiences very little of the wild winds ( this is important for an island in Bass Strait. The hosts could not be any... More

My partner and I stayed for 5 wonderful relaxing days with everything one could want supplied. It was clean and the owners were full of advice, friendly and yet gave privacy at all times. The cottage was equiped with every possible item need including items to travel the island. (fold up chairs, thermos, torches etc). We had a great time... More

The weather was not kind to us the week we were on King Island. It was so nice to come back to a warm comfortable cottage. The beds are very comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. Plenty of books to read and videos to watch. The cottage has everything that you need for cooking including all you need to take on... More

My now Fiance and I returned from a long weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne city, being from Ireland and the country it was like stepping back home for the weekend (minus the long flight) the lush green rolling hills and the sea air was great. Our experience started before we arrived with John providing some great... More

My wife and I have just returned from celebrating our fortieth wedding anniversary at the Naracoopa Holiday Cottages. We were met by John and shown to our cottage which was spotlessly clean, bright and very comfortable. The location was ideal with the beach across the road and within easy access to the Rocky Glen Retreat restaurant for a beautiful dinner.... More
