We stayed just for one night in the studio apartment. An absolutely gorgeous surprise of a place and so nice to have a log fire. I do have to agree though with an earlier reviewer that some of the windows could have done with a clean, however, having said that we were able to get views of Ella, the horse,... More

Our family of 4 found the Clock tower cottage very comfortable with quality bed linen and super comfortable pillows. Sue was extremely helpful in arranging provisions for our Christmas day arrival and there was a lovely Christmas tree inside to make it feel special. The kids loved feeding Ella the horse, the chickens, and meeting the dogs and picking berries... More

Stayed in the studio cottage for 2 nights - a great relaxing start to our week in Tasmania. The cottage is very quiet and with a great aspect over the gardens - and to the channel (although a bit hampered by dirty windows). The cottage is very comfortable and the breakfast provisions particularly the lovely fresh bread much appreciated. Some... More

We stayed for just one night recently. We found the cottages to be in immaculate presentation. Everything was perfect from the wood supplied to light the fire, instructions on how to operate the fire, home grown breakfast, roomy comfortable and warm. Everything has been thought of here. Watch as the sun goes down and the wallaby come out to graze.... More

As described in the Heron’s Rise webpage: “Herons Rise Vineyard is a family owned vineyard, with holiday cottages and superb views across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel to Bruny Island, on the slopes above the Kettering village.” The vineyard is located on a large treed property with neat lawns and gardens and offers a very relaxing and quiet location for a stay.... We had booked this on somebody's recommendation. It is run by Sue and Gerry who both work elsewhere. You could end up staying there without seeing either of them but it is probably unlikely. It was a purpose built attractive cottage with open plan kitchen lounge and bedroom and separate bathroom of course. There was a note for us when... More

Idyllic doesn't do it justice. A beautiful setting, tranquil, service second to none, delicious Pinot Noir and then there's the freshly baked bread every morning...what more can I say. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Even if you can only stay for a night, it's well worth making the trip. I look forward to going back again as soon... More

We stayed in the Studio cottage. It was a beautifully designed room with lovely wood fittings and a very relaxing ambience. The owner was very friendly and the house wine was delicious. We would gladly stay again if we happen to be in Tasmania as the location was great, good access to the Huon valley as well as Hobart and... More

The loft has two bedrooms and is thoughtfully set up with a well equipped kitchen and functional furniture. There is a nice outdoor sitting area outside the front door and lovely district views including glimpses of the bruny island ferry making its way across the water. Peaceful and quiet. Good value for money and easy to find. In spring the... More
