We stopped in at the cafe for lunch today and had the tastiest home cooked food we have had in a long time. Great hearty servings of locally produced foods at a reasonable price. A great addition to Geeveston, friendly owners. I wish them well in their new business. We will be back again for a feed and will recommend... More

We did not stay at The Bears, but, went to the Bears Cafe for lunch. The new owners Leanne & Ross are very friendly & accommodating. I had the very tasty & filling "Bears Dog" for lunch a very tasty bratwurst sausage in a sourdough roll with caramelized onion, spiced apple, chorizo & mustard. My partner had the "Chilli concarne"... More

we stayed here while travelling through Tasmania, lovely little place, very quiet , quaint place. Lovely big bedroom, nice oldy wordly feel. We had a lovely meal in front of the fire cooked by the owners. The owners were very friendly , and gave advise on where we were travelling etc. Breakfast was nice, rooms were lovely and there is... Brilliant coffee, good food. Rating the cafe service only. Thanks to the new management for an excellent experience. Haven't been in the cafe for years but now recommended by friends who also hadn't been there for years.

We were on our way to the Tahune air walk and stopped off here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We had a lovely lunch in a very comfortable atmosphere. Very clean and tidy. The hosts were very informative and were very obliging to our needs. They had taken over the business and had only been open 5 days. We... More

Unfortunately we were duped by the tourist brochure of where to stay. We were escaping another place that was a nightmare and thought we would be staying in a quaint comfortable B & B! Firstly - the cafe/coffee shop/ restaurant is closed - so we thought the accommodation area was also closed! poor signage. The female owner told us all... More

We stayed here a little while ago but just had to do a review about it. It truly is the best B&B I've stayed at. The host was friendly, the room was clean and those bears... Gotta love those bears! They are everywhere but it's so quaint and cute. The food was absolutely top stuff and great serves too. I... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Bears Went Over the Mountain and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was certainly clean and comfortable despite the hundreds of bears decorating it (I'm not so much into teddy bears). Our room also had a little enclosed verandah which was wonderful for picking up the aftenoon sun and warmed the room up beautifully.... More

Unfortunately I had the same awful experience as the poor people who also have rated this accomodation as extremely bad. My elderly mother and I arrived - also after a long days drive to find accomodation had not been arranged as what had been confirmed via internet 5 months prior! When we questioned why this was so, the female owner... More
