Amazing view from windows (all different!!), relaxing interior design, most importantly heart warming hospitality of Margaret and Alan. I was dreaming to come and stay since my friends had stayed with Sheoaks a year and half ago. Finally my dream came true and it was even better than I was expecting!! Dinner was surely one of the best experiences among... More

We stayed at Sheoaks for 2 nights in the off season(5th &6th 8/14) as it read alright in reviews. As the title says the bed was excellent and meals good..but that's where it ends. On leaving Melbourne at 7.20am we arrived at 2.30 and decided to get rid of our luggage and go have a look at the local area.... More

Please accept our apologies for such a dreadful stay with us. That’s certainly not our aim. We were somewhat surprised to read your review though, as one of you wrote, “Pleasant convenient base for east coast experience. Meals and conversation spot on! Cheers.” in our visitors’ book. It would appear that there has been a general misunderstanding, which I assure... More

She Oaks is a beautifully designed b&b overlooking Great Oyster Bay, and conveniently located for Coles Bay and the lovely Freycinet Peninsula walks. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there is a very pleasant guest lounge, with deck and easy access to the beach below. The friendly proprieters, Alan and Margaret, offer excellent breakfasts, and, by arrangement, delicious home-cooked... More

My Husband and I recently stayed at the Rumah Kita house and while we were not in the house for very long I have to say it was a lovely spacious property, tastefully decorated with gorgeous views of the bay. I had read some mixed reviews and was a little worried but our experience was perfect. Yes there were some... More

We recently spent one night at Sheoaks on our travels around Tasmania & enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. We opted to have dinner with Alan & Margaret & were so pleased we did. The meal was delicious & excellent value. Margaret is a great cook and went out of her way to... More

A friend and I stayed at Sheoaks after I saw the accommodation listed on the long lunch co website. I highly recommend staying if you are a social person. For $40 Marg put on a beautiful dinner (3 courses, wine, tea and coffee) her and her husband Allan sat with us and other guests. We enjoyed great food and company!!... More

After making the booking, further research of the reviews made us a little nervous about what to expect (reviews noted the hosts were rude and abrupt). Having stayed at sheoaks, we found the place itself lovely and, although the hosts are good business people (as can be seen by the website and effort to apply for tourism awards) they are... More

Dear Alix and Damon. We were disappointed that your stay at Sheoaks on Freycinet did not meet your expectations. It would be helpful to us if you could privately suggest some positive steps we might take to remedy the problems you found. We would welcome some direct feedback perhaps by email. I guess we work in an industry where the... More

We stayed at the Sheoaks b&b for one night midweek, although in hindsight we would have liked to spend more time there. It is a beautiful building and is situated right above the beach. Margaret and Alan were very friendly and helpful, promptly responding to our email enquiries and sending through a good selection of info about the area by... More

We stayed at Sheoaks for a few days over Christmas and had a wonderful time. The room was a good size and very clean with a lovely view. Margaret and Alan were great hosts and were more than happy to share their knowledge of Tasmania, which meant we were able to take an alterative route through the forest on our... More

Our family stayed in Dunwerkin, one of the self-catering properties in Coles Bay for four days over Christmas, and it must be said that the accommodation was key in making our Tassie Christmas a memorable one! From the very beginning, Alan and Margaret displayed their comprehensive knowledge of Tasmania and consideration for their guests. Shortly after we made the booking,... More
