Great position-quick walk to the beach. We had the room at the end of the corridor. Clean, comfotable and quiet. Really enjoyed the visitors' lounge. Alan had the fire running when we arrived back each day and kept it running while we relaxed. Meals are all highly recommended. We had a superb dinner with the hosts on the day we... More

From when you first arrive until you leave, everything is positive. The bedrooms are conveniently located near the carpark. No need to negotiate your way through the house. The rooms, including en suite, are comfortable, warm and clean. The design is such that the guest rooms are separate from the main house. This provides privacy, if required. There is a... More

We care glad to know that you enjoyed your stay at Sheoaks and in our beautiful area. Do come again when you need a break. A biased view no doubt, but we believe the Freycinet Peninsular is an ideal place to "recharge the batteries". More

we stayed four nights at the B&B as we wanted to have time visiting the park at our leisure. The B&B is located outside of Coles Bay and therefore outside of the park. only one lodge is located inside and the choice around Coles Bay is limited. There are of course the extreme options on both sides of the luxury... More

Several explanations ... Coles Bay is a straggly village, including the area where Sheoaks is situated. It’s surrounded by various sections of Freycinet National Park. The Park begins almost when you turn onto the Coles Bay Rd (the C302) although it is interspersed with parcels of privately owned land. Your bed was made daily although the linen was not changed.... We stayed 2 nights at Sheoaks B & B as part of a motorcycling tour around Tasmania. Our stay here was a real highlight, due to both the spectacular surrounds and Margaret and Alan's hospitality. Keeping off the roads from dusk meant we were able to share an exceptional meal with the hosts on the first evening. Margaret has a... More

Good to know that we met your expectations. Touring motorcyclists are one of the niche groups whose particular requirements we try hard to accommodate. Do come again some time. More

This is a Beachcomber architect designed home. Chosen as we wanted to have views of ocean. Margaret and Allen are passionate about how they treat their guests and have the most amazing collection of Australian pottery. Great books and magazines to read. Lovely home cooked food using local produce and herbs from their garden. Two days was not long enough... More

My partner and i just rented the 'beachcomber' which is under sheoaks mananagement. We found the accomodation quite nice, and very comfortable. The only downside was not being able to use the spa, which was not specified on the website as being unavailable. The reasons for this was due to the water supply being tank water, which is perfectly understandable,... More

Margaret and Allan provide an ideal location right on the coast with styled home accommodation with an optional evening meal which was to die for. Don't befooled by their reserved personalities. They are deservedly proud of their natural, local and extensive cuisine on offer for both evening and breakfast meals. Wines are also provided with evening meal which compliment the... More

Margaret and Alan are fantastic hosts, and always went the extra mile. They gave us so many fantastic tips about Tasmania, which helped us plan our trip. The location of the b&b is excellent - overlooking a beautiful beach and we had seafood for dinner on the balcony (which we arranged) and the view was spectacular.

We stayed for two nights as part of our motorcycle tour of tasmania. Comfortable accommodation with great views from the communal lounge and balcony area. We enjoyed our evening walk on the beach both evenings and great sunsets. It is motorbike friendly although we weren't sure when we first arrived and Alan referred to our beloved bike as a contraption!... More
