Had a 3 bedroom cottage right on the bay, with 2 wallabies and a pademelon at our doorstep (and on our balcony) for much of our stay. Very comfortable and we cooked fish from the co-op at Bicheno which was the best fish i have had for years (ever), first night and steak on the open fire barbecue the second... More

Our room had a beautiful view of the bay and the Hazards and quite accessible to a small sandy beach. The room with a small kitchenette (sink, refrigerator , coffee maker and a few dishes) was quite spacious and lovely. There is a small lanai to enjoy in the afternoon and watch all the wallabies on the property! The lodge... More

We stayed one night in one of the cabins. It was very clean and had a good view of the sea. However for the price it was poor value. The cabin was a time capsule, built and furnished in the early 80s, complete with exposed brick, aluminium saucepans and corningware plates. An homage to the Australian beachshack perhaps, but more... More

We arrived after staying at a beautiful cottage in Binalong Bay, to the Queen Ocean View suite at Edge of the Bay, it was a real disappointment. They were the same price. We thought the room very basic, for the price, hard & stained couch & uncomfortable bed, very disappointed. I agree with others the view was great & the meal... More

We arrived early and were going to ask to leave our bags while we explored the area. Stef was checking us in and indicated our room was ready, so she gave us access to our room early. We were in Suite 30 and it had an incredible view of the water (29-30-31 had to have the best location, in my... More

Beautiful views from your room. Not really what i would call luxury just another motel suite with a view. Over priced for what you get. The staff were very helpfull and friendly. You have to get your breakfast provisions for the morning the night before which are ok. You would think they could do breakfast in the resteraunt. Not much... More

We're on a road trip with pre booked accom and wished we had the knowledge of this place to have stayed longer. Booked a stand alone cabin, private, comfy and functional, clean and modern,in sync with a beautiful natural setting, looking out over Coles Bay across to the Freycinet landscape. Blessed with blue skies which makes everything sparkle. Don't sweat the... More

Spectacular from the time we stepped through front door. The room was lovely, modern decor, spacious and private. Floor to ceiling windows and sliding door out to private sundeck, we had wallabies grazing just meters away. The room had priceless views to beautiful Coles Bay, Hazard Mountains, and Freycinet National Park, and beach access almost on the door step. Restaurant... More

Wonderful location, beautiful setting with the buildings blending in to the environment. The view from the deck was unbelievable, with the suites very well appointed. Rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, and the on site restaurant was excellent. Would highly recommend this resort.

A delightful small resort, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere close enough to Coles Bay to walk along the shoreline in 45 minutes along a deserted and beautiful sandy beach. The Freycinet National park is one of the earliest parks in Tasmania, the Edge of the Bay resort is a good base to explore the many walks and activities available... More
