My husband and I stayed in a Wineglass Spa Cabin for just one night (unfortunately) in May. It is a long road out to the national park but definitely worth it when you arrive. The setting is just pristine and beautiful with the clearest turquoise water I've seen. The only thing is I expected it to be totally isolated, but... more

Above average for Australia. The setting is beautiful. We stayed here for one night and were quite pleased. It is not an urber luxury resort, nor is it quite as isolated as I expected (could see the lights of Cole's Bay from the main deck). We had a very nice room (one of the cheapest). It had a comfortable bed, cd... more

Freycinet and Cole Bay was meant to be the highlight of out Tasmanian holiday. We had heard lots about the Lodge and how beautiful it is. Let's get one thing right - Freycinet National Park and Coles Bay is magnificen! The Lodge itself is an overpriced 2 to 3 star hotel. Our room was pure 80's with no phone to... more

Our room was very expensive but not worth the price. The daggy old room felt like we were staying in a caravan. We complained to reception and they told us 'we had the best room in the place' (right next to the back door of the kitchen). They refused to refund us so we could leave and threatened to charge... more

On our 5 day trip to Tasmania, this was our treat as far as accommodation was concerned and we weren't disappointed. The location is fantastic - the actual lodge itself has great views over the water and is less than a 5 minute drive from the main carpark at Wineglass Bay. We stayed in a Freycinet Chalet which was the... more

We stayed at the Lodge for 1 night and it was fantastic. We booked a Freycinet Cabin and the room we were given looked a lot newer than the photos on the hotel's website. Maybe they are in the process of renovating the rooms and we were lucky to get one of the renovated ones? The room was spacious and... more

Spent 4 nights ay Freycinent Lodge and I have only one criticism - the decor needs refreshing. Other than that, the staff were lovely, food in the main restaurant good and location second to none with many trails close by and activities that can be taken. If you want to stay in the region this is probably the best place. more

My parents came over to visit me and my GF for Christmas. My folks had heard that the gold coast got pretty packed for Xmas day so they asked the Travel Agent in the uk to recommend something a bit more relaxing. Their recommendation was Freycinet Lodge in Tasmania. The trip was our xmas present so my parents decided to... more
