We stayed 3 nights in a premium spa suite with an absolutely beautiful outlook over Coles Bay in the shadow of the Hazards. The suite was comfortable and very private. The bathroom and the spa were quite special. In the evenings we shared the small balcony and an outlook that one could never tire of, with 2 large possums who... More

First the good. The setting is gorgeous and it's the only lodge inside the park. The rooms are spacious with a great bed, a nice deck and a large bathroom with a good shower and a tub. And the food at both the bistro and the more upscale restaurant is excellent for dinners. Next the average. The breakfast buffet is... More

Lovely cabin right in the National park. Very comfortable bed. They had plumbing problems so the first night we had to go to another resort. Not great but the cabin we ended up in on the second night was delightful. Breakfast is rather a pedestrian continental affair. Lovely location and better than Edge of the Bay.

We stayed in a 2BR room which our neighbours had booked. They stayed 3 nights and we stayed 2. Very well located to enable us to take walks in the National Park without travelling any great distance. Room was well located and private. Although we had 2 cars reception advised how to park the second. We only need one for... More

Relatively secluded cabins with convenient parking in an ideal setting. The rooms are well appointed and have small decking to sit on. They have excellent bathrooms and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant is in the main building a short walk away and enjoys wonderful views over the bay and the ocean. The food in the restaurant was very... More

We stayed in a spa cabin which was lovely. We were also away from the main lodge so our cabin was very quiet. The lodge itself could do with a refresh but the staff were lovely and helpful. They had some transit staff who were highly skilled - especially the wait staff. Do try the whiskey tasting - it was... More

We had a bad start to our long weekend tassie getaway when Qantas cancelled a flight and we ended up stranded in a Melbourne airport hotel for the night! All the grumpiness faded finally checking in at freycinet Loretta organised a lovely room for my 40th birthday with a complimentary bottle of Tasmanian bubbles Lucky we'd earned it after a... More

The lodges were quite good but don't expect superb views as this is in a National Park and the lodges are set in woodland that mostly obscures any view of the bay. The lodge we were put in was at the extreme end of the resort (no: 26) and we had to wait for it to be cleaned before we... More

From our arrival at reception until our departure, we felt warmly welcomed and comfortable at the lodge. Having just visited Tourville Lighthouse and undertaken the walk down to (and back up from!) the beach at Sleepy Bay, on checking in all we were looking for was a hot shower and somewhere to relax. An upgrade to a spa cabin was... More

The setting was absolutely stunning . It was very private , peaceful, quiet and serene. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a balcony . All windows had a screen mesh so we were able to open the window for fresh air without flies or insects coming in. There were heaters, which we used more than often as the weather... More

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. I am pleased you were able to enjoy the park and the lodge with your family. It is true, our summer/spring has been a little colder than usual. Even our local wallabies are feeling the cold and are not as visible as usual around the lodge. Thank you again for your time - it... More
