The Freycinet Lodge was a lot nicer than I had thought from the reviews on this website. My partner and I stayed in room 12 which seemed to have recently been refurbished, and was very nice and clean and quite spacious. We stayed in the most basic class of room, which did not have a view, though the room itself... more

Having studied the Frecinyet area at uni I had always wanted to stay at Freycinet Lodge. How disappointed I was... Secluded bushland setting... Secluded in that you had a view of the trees 1 metre from your room. Coles Bay township is 3 minutes away... Our premier wineglass spa room was nice, but not worth the cost (even when discounted).... more

We booked an Oyster cabin on the puretasmania website, for $195 including buffet breakfast. This was a good rate compared with other accommodation in the Coles Bay area. It was a special, heavily discounted from the rack rate. I used my Entertainment Card to get another 10% discount, which made it very attractive. The lodge is inside a National Park,... more

We stayed two nights at the Freycinet Lodge and like other people were expecting it to be the highlight of our trip. It was the most expensive of our accomodation so we assumed it would be the most comfortable. How wrong we were. We were in the family two bedroom oyster cabin. It had no view, which was not really... more

I checked out of Freycinet Lodge and only realised a few hours later that I had left a gold ring behind, probably somewhere on the floor of my room. I sent an e mail in the evening and the next day a member of the room service staff replied that it had been found. They shipped it back to me.... more

This place is very over priced for what you get, I realise you are staying in the national park and it comes at a price but I am not sure why. We arrived to a rainy coles bay and did a walk in rate for the villa we stayed in, but I still think we paid over the odds. Maybe... more

My stay here was great, I would love to go back. The main lodge has a great feel to it. The restaurant (not the bistro) served beautiful food. The staff were wonderful and helpful throughout my stay. The cabins have a sort of holiday home feel to them, and they are perfectly suited to the environment they are set in.... more

I loved Freycinet Lodge. The room was big with a fabulous view of the bay. The room had the biggest spa bathtub I have ever seen. The cabins were designed such that you could not see the cabins on either side of you. The lodge was in the National Park, so very close to multiple trails. The sand on the... more

Great lodge, beautiful location in the National Park, a short drive to the Wineglass Bay hiking trails. The views from the rooms are mostly obscured since the chalets are set back from the ocean among the trees. The restaurant is very good but not cheap. more
