Nothing sarcastic intended by this title. I mean this as a serious piece of advice . After some travel in Tasmania as an American customer it became clear that there is an esthetic level here that is endemic. There is nothing superfluous in any aspect of Tasmanian life. It is a very simple way of delivering every experience. Not a... More

The Lodge is situated in a good spot in the National Park and the service provided at the reception was okay. I give it 3 stars for that. However upon arriving at the Lodge, my husband and I had booked the Deluxe Spa Cabin and arrived to outdated furniture and cabin. There wasn't anything 'Deluxe' about it and we found... More

We had two-room cabin ( meaning one with two large beds) with verandah in a quiet area near the Reception building. Decor is rustic, with no tv( you are here to escape!) , a decent kitchen area but quite basic overall. Despite the high cost internet, bikes and snooker table all have extra charges, which was a little mean. The Bistro is... More

Great place to base yourself for the fabulous walks and excursions you can do in the area. Cabins are warm and comfortable and fitted with all the utensils required. Food in the Lodge is a non event with the exception of the comprehensive breakfast offering.

My partner and I stayed one night here in a cabin. It was lovely and we were very surprised by the view even though we felt we were tucked away in the bushes. The food at the bistro was very good and reasonably priced, however they were charging $30 a head for an average looking buffet breakfast. We had breakfast... More

Facility was built on a budget - cheap construction, budget fittings, out-dated furniture and furnishings, Noisy plumbing, leaky and stained shower cubicle. The 2 restaurants are similarly setup with cheap furniture and outdated decor frozen in the 1980s. Any Best Western in the average country town is better in most regards. On the upside, the location is beautiful. Overall very... More

This was the noisiest & most expensive accomodation we had on the island ! So disappointing ! Our cabin was right beside the main road into the national park & the only way we could have quiet during the daylight hours was shut in with the air conditioning on !! We were also right next to the wood pile &... More

We were at Freycinet for a wedding at Honeymoon bay. The lodge is the perfect location for visiting stunning beaches, tranquil walks and feeling like you are a world away from everything. The lodge itself has beautiful big fireplaces, gorgeous views, lovely food and relaxing options for everyone. Our room was spacious, clean, cosy but spacious with great amenities. Staff... More

This Lodge is perfect - the rooms are amazing. They have thought of everything. We had a deluxe cabin with a view of the glorious beach, which you could view from your verandah or spa bath! The meals were delicious from the restaurant - then sit by the many lodge fireplaces while sipping your wine on a comfy lounge. During... More

Best spot in the Freycinet area if you're planning to actually enjoy the national park (otherwise, why on earth would you be there?!). The restaurant is very good (especially the seafood platter and desserts). I stayed in the premier spa cabin. It was generously sized, and clean and well-serviced, with an enormous and very well-equipped bathroom, a good spa bath,... More
