My expectations were high which can be a problem. At the Saffire Freycinet, though, the overall experience more than justified the high cost. For starters, just having the opportunity to live for a few days in an architectural masterpiece is something to be treasured. From the moment you enter the walkway to the lobby, an awareness sets in that the... More

We recently spent two nights at Saffire Freycinet and thoroughly enjoyed the elegant luxury and superb service. All staff were charming and attentive, making our stay most enjoyable. The room was large and luxurious with a wonderful view. All meals were splendid and innovative especially the lunchtime salads. The boat trip around the peninsular is highly recommended not only for... More

Rated as one of Tassies best I just had to check out what all the fuss was about. My curiosity was further heightened by two previous stays at Coles Bay. Beautiful place to visit with stunning scenery. Saffire is a stunning building and the rooms are as to expect. The experience is about the view and the food and wine.... More

What can I say. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the management team and presented with a glass of sparkling, this was a place to remember. Everything we could think of was catered for. The personal touch from all the staff was sincere. No fake "how are you today?". The staff clearly enjoyed where they worked and... More

After a quick visit last year I returned in 2015 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and wasn't dissapointed. This resort is as good as anything in the world and better than most. I heard that the staff to guest ratio is 4:1 and that certainly shines through in the extremely high standard of service you receive from arrival at the... More

This hotel is expensive, but everything you could wish for is included once you arrive. It is a spectacular hotel with amazing views out over Great Oyster Bay. The accommodation is spacious and very well appointed and the staff are fabulous - friendly but anxious to cater for your every need. The food is, if anything, too good, as the... More

We recently stayed at Saffire lodge at Coles Bay and I have never previously been inspired to write a review at any place where I have stayed (and we have stayed at some top places) but our stay at Saffire exceeded expectations by a 'country mile'. The staff were warm and attentive, Nothing was too much trouble. Great food and... More

There's not much else to add to the already glowing reviews. Wonderful location, accommodation and great service from all of the staff. We only stayed 2 nights but would highly recommend 4 to do the excursions (particularly the Freycinet Marine Park),and allow enough time to soak up the atmosphere of the lodge itself. One small piece of feedback which I... More

This resort encompasses everything amazing about a luxury holiday in Australia. Total luxury with private rooms with expansive views, you end up being in your own Sapphire bubble. The staff are warm, friendly and nothing is too much trouble, Australian hospitality at its best. From the resort and rooms there is the vista of the 3 large granite mountains "The... More

Lux at its best. The staff is attentive to every detail while managing to be fun and friendly. No request is left unfulfilled. Foodies will love this place too. Fixed menu with wine pairings if you prefer or alacarte mix and match. The lodge itself is an architectural wonder and the guest rooms are spectacular, highly crafted, beautiful yet livable....
