we booked in there as the final place on our driving holiday around Tassie. I was quite excited about it because it sounded really nice. we had discount vouchers but even after discount it was around the price we paid elsewhere and pretty much everywhere else had been great value for money compared to other places in AUS, so I... My family and I arrived at this hotel at the end of a pretty intense five-week trip around Australia. We were travel weary and ready for home. Hawley House was just perfect for us. When we arrived we were showed to our rooms and even got a little tour around the place. The staff, without exception, were incredibly friendly and... More

We stayed at Hawley House for only two nights but i would have loved to stay longer. We were on a 10 day trip through Tasmania and this was the nicest place we stayed at. Coming from a big city I love nature and quiteness on my holidays. The beach right down the drive way and the gardens with a... More

Excellent location, wonderful home cooked meals, interesting owners..and who else provides a rooftop bathtub to relax in, under moonlight if you so desire! No, I didn't partake of the rooftop bath offer, but my son certainly did..and the photos are so special that i may even post one onto this review at a later date! Not sure what happened to... More

Thankyou for your review, and we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Clarification for future guests - pre-dinner drinks can be ordered between 6:30p.m. and 7:00p.m. in the Drawing Room, and are not included in room rates - it appears this was a point of confusion with these guests, for which we apologise. We stayed at the pavallion house which was just amazing.. Two families with 5 kids between us, the house was not pretentious, it felt like a home with plenty of space for everyone. Peacocks and houses in the from yard made it extra magical for the kids! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much :-)... More

We stayed at this amazing property recently. There is no question that the grounds and property are spectacular. Room cleanliness was adequate (a number of dead flies on the floor in a room with a booking for an infant not a great look) at best. Service was the major negative of the experience. Beyond general grumpiness, we were 1) billed... More

There is a significant gap in the information supplied in this review, which is explains the 'general grumpiness' of the service after departure. These guests booked a double room on a significantly discounted group rate. They in fact had 3 adults and an infant staying in the room and thought it highly unreasonable that a modest additional charge was applied.... More

We stayed two nights in the cottage house because we were a party of six. It was perfect for us as there was a big kitchen and plenty of bedrooms, and it was more economical than staying in the main house, especially since our breakfast was included (served in the restaurant at the main house). This is a place you... More

This is truly a unique establishment. The gardens and wetlands are themselves a good reason to stay here, so take the time to explore them. We greatly enjoyed dinner, too. Our loft room was large and comfortable had everything we needed, as well as a great view. There's free wi-fi internet but for best results you need to be in... More

We have been to hawley house 6 times and always recommend it to our friends. Who all loved it as much as we do. The house and grounds are nothing short of stunning. My favorite thing to do is take breakfast on the lawn soaking up the view-the lake full of wild birds, and beyond to the ocean. the stable... More

Spent 3 nights for an anniversary. The house and gardens are delightful, the family who run it were very hospitable. The food was superb and offered great vegetarian options. Highly recommended.
