I have stayed there two weeks in January.(2015) It is the peak season on that time in Devonport, you can not pay more than three days in one time. But there was no accommodation available on that time. The wifi was bad contact and sometime it was really noise in the night time, even in the mid-night. the kitchen is... More

We stayed at Molly Malones on 2 occasions and you pretty much get what you pay for @ $20 a night. The rooms we stayed in were 2 bunk rooms (so 1 bunkbed/2 person rooms) which was great for us travelling as a couple. The matresses are very thin though, so you can feel the springs poking in your back.... More

I chose this hostel because of its location and the fact that it is located above a pub. I thought this meant that there would be a lively vibe with many travellers. While I only stayed for one night after I arrived on the Spirit of Tasmania, and it was still a little cold before the heat of summer, I... More

Dined at Molly Malone’s in 2011 when we were on holiday in Devonport so when we returned we gave it another go – The food is “Pub food” and you get what you pay for. We would not go back to Molly’s for another meal as the prices are a bit too high for a pub meal and service is... More

Booked double ensuite room which was just okay. Bathroom needed some work. The common area and kitchen were not clean. Overall it was very cheap and in a good location so willing to overlook a lot of the issues.

While the pub has great food and staff ,the accomadation is less than perfect. I have stayed at plenty of backpackers but this would have to be the worst. Fair enough the beds were only $20 a night and the sheets were clean but the rest of the accomadation is pretty run down and grubby. Our room had a large patch... More

This Hotel has great atmosphere and looks like you have stepped into Ireland. The decor inside is very authentic with loads of history. We have the Silverside Roast at $9.90 and would have to be the closest thing to home cooking we have ever tasted. The staff are all very friendly and courteous. Large dining area inside and out suitable... More

I'm writing more about Molly's restaurant than the rest of the complex. Good selection off the menu, a little Irish and a lot Australian. The service is good, the food is good, the pub is good. I believe they have the best calamari. On weekends and some nights they have good local and invited musicians playing in the corner of... More
