Our family of 6 adults + 1 toddler called in to the CMH today to have lunch and explore the Wilderness Gallery. We were all very disappointed with our lunch as well as the lack of service. We waited for a length of time for someone to serve us, then to be told the restaurant was closed, but we could... More

On arrival reception went out of their way to fix my mixed up booking, to which they did. The rooms were clean and well presented BUT cold. The size of the heater was small and ineffective. There was no electric blanket so could not jump in bed to warm the feet The coldness was evident throughout the hotel - big... More

This was the much anticipated finale of our fortnight tour of Tasmania: the place we were most excited about. The setting is just perfect, and prior to our arrival it had been snowing quite heavily so the scene was breathtakingly beautiful and we had high expectations as we drove on to the estate. We had booked for 3 nights, and... More

What a beautiful setting. Our room was on the parking lot side but overlooked a garden area where a wallaby can each evening to look for food. There are big living rooms on each floor with fireplaces, sofas, books and games. We were not interested in a big meal and would have preferred more choices for a la carte evening... More

Our wallaby’s are always a highlights and are often seen going about their day around the hotel, we are so glad you got to appreciate them. We have recently introduced experience taster plates in each of the living areas and would love for you to try those on your next trip. Best Wishes Shanna Sweeney GM – Cradle Mountain Hotel More

Excellent service, very attentive. We have found this to be a common experience throughout all the RAC hotels we've stayed in. Rooms are being updated and looking fresh. Lovely views. Sumptuously comfortable bed. Only issue would be the lack of noise insulation between rooms and corridor. Really enjoyed the outdoor spa under the stars

The generic tired looking hotel is undergoing a much-needed renovation. At least the staff was super friendly and our large Split Level King Spa room had a nice view of the woods. Since it was freezing and raining, it was nice to sit by the fire in the lounge area. The kitchen churns out edible food but nothing great. The... More

You are absolutely correct, we are undergoing many new upgrades to the hotel. These include; painting, linens, beds, TV’s, and a wonderful hot rock dining experience showcasing the best Tasmanian produce. In summer we have 2 dinning venues, one being Quolls buffet (where the tour groups commonly dine) and our Grey Gums restaurant that offers an intimate dining experience and... More

Well looked after, great food and service and the hotel was warm throughout (it was -5 the next morning!). The only addition we would like/suggest.....electric blankets!! However, would certainly go again.

Welcoming and warm. This hotel is only minutes from the National Park set in light bushland. Mid winter break . We found the rooms well appointed, very comfortable and quiet. Staff excellent in every area. Plenty of lounges and fires for relaxing, reading etc. Food was ok. bistro style meals with generous helpings served hot and without delay. Disappointed that... More

It is delightful to know that you enjoyed our facilitates and experienced a warm and enjoyable stay. This hotel is a delight. Spotless rooms, outstanding staff service, 2 restaurants with flexible eating times, a warm cosy fire, an art gallery, souvenir shop - sometimes with free tastings. Easy parking and 24 hour reception desk. Very easy to arrange tours or get maps and drive yourself. Thoroughly recommended.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel but we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel, our room and the dining room. Booked a 'spa deluxe room' and it was clean and comfortable. This is a basic, clean hotel and given the price in a national park and its location they do a good job. The bathroom was large... More
