We stayed in the contemporary spa cabin for $310 per night, it was small but cosy with a gas fire heater and bath spa. When checking in they required to authorise my credit card not just with the accommodation price but with an extra $100 incase we used anything from the mini bar or did activities (no choice on this),... The location for this place for me was the real winner. Unfortunately the food options, of which are very limited on the top of the mountain, let this place down. Every meal I experienced at both the bar/tavern and restaurant were overpriced and very average. I paid $5.00 for a coke and my pumpkin soup was the worst I have... More

We arrived to the excitement of snow. How lucky. Bush walks were excellent. Would recommend the King Billy walk. It was a treat not having a TV blaring in the background in the cabin. We had a gas fire in the family cabin. Breakfast was ok. Fireplace in the restaurant was the hero.

Very disappointed with our stay at Peppers. We arrived at 1:30pm there were two staff at the front desk, neither looked up and mentioned they were occupied or busy, it wasn't until a third person came out from the back that we were served. We were told to return in 30min as check in was strictly at 2pm. We had... More

Stayed in a cabin with my wife. I understand staying so close to dove lake is going to be expensive but $250 for a shack was well overpriced. No tv, Internet, bath, log fire, or comfy bed. I get the tranquility/no technology thing..... But for that price the cabins should be secluded (not 4 cabins seperated by fibro), open fire... More

Maybe it was my fault , for the money I expected a TV in the room, doors that closed properly and a cabin that was closer to 2015 than 1985. If you are a couple that likes rustic and romantic, this maybe the place. Not for a family that may like to watch a bit of TV after a long... More

It's all about the Location! No doubt the lodge is suitated at the perfect location on cradle mountain with only 15min drive up to the dove lake! There are a few easy treks just right next to the lodge reception if you like trek walking. We saw some cure wallabies walking together with us while we were walking, cute :)... More

We took advantage, along with another couple, of the Local Tasmanian's Deal and stayed for two nights to take in the best that the National Park has to offer. The Lodge is the closest hotel located to Dove Lake and it's several individual cabins spread out over a rather large area were well patronised. We had numbers 73 & 74... More

Spent weekend here and was lovely, didn't think food was that special but room was lovely and plenty of wildlife to be seen also along the woods. If going here just keep in mind you'll not have much use for technology as no signal with internet or mobiles but that to me makes it even better.
