We stayed one night in January and whilst it is in one of the most beautiful locations in the world the hotel itself was disappointing. The pine cabin was spacious with a lovely outlook however when we arrived the heater (gas fire) was on and it was about 28C outside. It was very uncomfortable and took hours to cool the... More

The location of the lodge is good close to the nature reserve. The hotel is not great though. The restaurant supposed to be fine dining - is not and the service overall lacks in this hotel. Wifi is a joke. The café area is just a greasy spoon. Breakfast buffet could only be considered carnage. With even a cappuccino being... More

This is a luxury lodge like any US upscale lodge like Jackson Lake in Grand Teton Park that offers good food and lots of hikes and wildlife right outside your window. Good also for birders. The staff seemed pleasant and efficient but clearly overworked, over busy which may reflect corporate pressure but not nice to see from a guest point... More

We booked our accommodation at the last minute and the Pencil Pine Cabin was the only room available, we were very pleased with the room and it's facilities and thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and a bottle of sparking wine was in our room to welcome us, a very nice touch. Very friendly... More

Recently stayed with Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge in a deluxe spa cabin. The cabin was beautifully appointed, lovely bathroom although the shower door opened the wrong way. Beautiful Aprelles lotions and shampoos. Make sure rooms have additional blankets if you don't want the gas fire on all night as can get a bit chilly as the temperature drops. Meals were... More

We stayed here only one night during our visit to Tasmania, which was too short to explore this beautiful area! The lodge had got wonderful views, very clean rooms, friendly and professional staff and would provide you with excellent self-service breakfast! Wish I could stay there forever!

You would think that for the price of the room you would get free WiFi but not at this place. So despite the fantastic photos we took we could not post them or share them with anyone until we had left the area. The area is stunning, the breakfasts and dinners were sumptuous, the room was very good and had... More

Stayed 2 nights in a basic pencil pine cabin. Room was clean and comfortable but not worthy of $360 per night we payed. My 5 star rating is based on the surrounds which were magnificent, lovely views, lots of short walks close by with plenty of native animals about. Very relaxing and quiet. The included buffet breakfast was lovely, nice... More

Love the mountain lodge atmosphere. Our cabin was neat and comfortable with a great shower. The walks along the hotel grounds are wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay wishing we could stay for more. Breakfast was included in the price and considering the accommodation cost was $199, I think it was well worth it when comparing hotel rooms that... More
