We arrived on Australia Day, having travelled from hobart. We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation, the decor and setting was amazing considering the isolation. Dinner at the lodge restaurant was outstanding. Given our short we decided on short walk option's which were breathtaking and easily achievable for most people. The only negative was the overpriced poached eggs on toast... More

what a wonderful place we found to stay. cabin rooms down near the lake. Beautifully set out. Bathrooms set up for wheel chair access and small children, very large. beds were great and comfortable. the people, the restaurant, every thing you need. we had a cabin without a TV and we did not even miss it .

We had a 2 bedroom spa chalet near the lake that we shared with our friends. The chalets are newly refurbished, with taste and very comfortable. We all appreciated the gaz fireplace in the lounge, giving a winter in the Alps atmosphere to the place. We would have appreciated the full kitchen if the staff had told us that there... More

After landing in Devonport from the Spirit of Tasmania, we made our way through Sheffield, Rosebery and Queenstown to Lake St Clair. Our cabin was not ready so we were advised to return later on. We had lunch in the lodge cafe and the drinks we ordered were not available - they had run out. Also the meal we wanted... More

This place is located in one of the most beautiful spots in Tasmania. Wildlife everywhere and the lake and mountain scenery is stunning. The lodge is lovely and our loft cabins spacious, warm and comfortable. Service was a bit patchy but they tried hard. Overall a great stopover on your Tassy road trip or a destination in itself. We would... More

We have travelled around this wonderful State and admired its pristine beauty. The accomodation, food and service everywhere has been fantastic. That was until we went to Lake St Clair Lodge & in particular its restaurant. Our room was of a very good standard and we were pleased. Of note was no tv like other rooms at the lodge. However,... Most beautiful location, staff were friendly helpful, honest, welcoming and guest focused. The venue is child friendly, and welcomes families. The cabin was clean, modern comfortable and warm. Very enjoyable stay and will be back again soon. The grounds are natural bush state and deliberately maintained that way, there is no pretentious land escaping, just a beautiful Tasmanian bush experience.... More

We stayed in cabin 33, gorgeous views of the lake. There were two couples, so also had cabin 32. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with nice touches like robes and spa. However the kitchen was poorly stocked, with only two wine glasses, and the smallest bin we'd ever seen.

We stayed 2 nights. Accommodation was excellent. Rooms Clean and comfortable. Bed was great. Very peaceful and the possums were beautiful and friendly. Had a great jam session with the musos after dinner in the Restaurant at the Lodge. Great atmosphere.

Lovely to hear that you've had an enjoyable time during your recent visit and found everything to your liking. The possums are certainly very friendly and there are lot of baby possums around at this time of year too which are very cute. Great to hear that you stayed for the jam session and enjoyed that too, these sessions are... More

Cabins are modern, spacious and clean even if missing a bit of character. No tv, no micro waves, no wifi but the view of the Lake is superb and there are many great bushwalks all around. We stayed 2 nights and the room was made at 7pm which is a "premiere"...really understaffed. What let the experience down was the terrible... More
