After a day on the road and a desire for a little comfort, an off the cuff inquiry with the Lake St Clair Lodge saw a good value room obtained on the water's edge providing great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. You felt immersed in the wilderness and the accommodation was clean, warm and comfortable. Couldn't have asked... More

Surprising, amazed, beautiful and timeless........ Once in a while we all deserve to be treated. This is a lost heaven.... Surrounded by true nature we couldn't have wished for more. The cabins were so completely comfortable, and tastefully fitted out. Loved the in-room products - luxurious. The staff were very friendly, happy and excited to assist wherever they could to... After climbing Mt Rufus which towers over Lake St Clair, we were delighted to arrive at Lake St Clair Lodge for the night. Our walk was 18 kms and quite steep in parts, so the lovely shower and great accommodation was very welcome for our tired and aching limbs. Everything about it was first class, the units were well designed... More

I stayed at the backpacker's accommodation for one night after the Overland Track. It was definitely an anti-climax after the trek. The place is expensive and they charge for everything, even showers! A bed in the backpacker's dorm is $40, compared to $30 at the Discovery Park near the start of the trek. The facilities are worse, the room has... More

My partner and I are avid hikers we spent the night camping in the national park next to the lodge. After dinner we decided to pop in and have a drink at 6.40pm. We purchased a $40 bottle of wine and a pint of beer and drank the beverages at a regular pace, we by no means sat on our... More

Absolutely beautiful. Great accommodation and everything you could want in a wilderness hideaway. Wildlife at your door and a lovely restaurant to dine in. Great cosy fireplace in the bar. The lake is beautiful and a great start to the overland trail if you want to walk.

I went to lake St Clair with my walking group. There was 17 of us. We stayed in various accommodation from the one and two bedroom cabins to the back packers. All of us were happy with our accommodation. One friend paid a little more than me. She had a king bed and a fancy gas heater with a flame... More

Lake St Clair is a stunning location - however the Lodge really takes advantage of its monopoly situation. We were overcharged and I had to have quite an argument over several weeks to be re-imbursed - which finally did occur, however despite my repeated requests to receive an apology from management this did not happen. Our room was not serviced... More

Our lakeside cabin was very neat and clean. The gas log fire was much appreciated after a cold and wet trip in on our motor bike. The restaurant food and drinks were very basic for the exorbitant prices charged. Basic pub grub at best with silver service prices. Despite the descriptions on the menu, every dish appeared to be accompanied... More
