This was very basic, but not surprising considering the price. However, it could have been cleaner. There was a stale smell in the bedroom. Staff were nice and helpful. It's a short stroll to the beach and town centre. No laundry facility and no microwave. Kitchen and restaurant closed. Free parking.

Not sure where I should start....staff are nice on arrival but if something I wrong the attitude changes straight away manager is not helpful and could do with a course on customer service. Bathroom could do with a clean new shower curtain and a clean. The only thing that was good was the food and the person who deliveries the... More

Hi Mel I would be very interested in talking to you about this post, none of this rings a bell for me as manager and I am wondering who you spoke to? There are also some things in this post that seem a little odd and I would like to get to the bottom of them. It certainly isn't our... More

Not the best hotel in Burnie but not bad for the price paid. If your after a reasonably cheap place to stay this may be your option. Easy to find and parking is good. Probably need a car to get anywhere though.

The Burnie Comfort hotel is a reasonable quality hotel. The rooms are clean. It only of average size. The bar and restaurant are being refurbished so the temporary one is not very good. Eat and drink somewhere else. But for the business traveller, the Comfort hotel is quite good.

Thank you for your response, we understand until refurbishment is complete our bar/restaraunt may look a little tired however we usually have great feedback about our food, hopefully we can impress you upon your next visit to Burnie. Safe Travels. More

I spent 5 nights in the hotel out of necessity and would not normally choose this style of hotel. The reception staff were outstanding, highly professional and pleasant. I realise that you get what you pay for so I am not comparing it to a 5 star city hotel, yet I expect that in 5 nights my room would be... More

Stayed in King Room with street view overlooking McDonalds & a traffic-light controlled intersection. Triple glazed windows prevent any noise from the traffic but you can hear other guests & their comings & goings (including any conversations along the hallway). Each morning, you are woken with "housekeeping" knocking on each of the doors announcing their intentions to clean. A bit... More

Hi Cindy, It was lovely to meet & chat with you and I thank you for your comments. I will certainly ensure that housekeeping a little extra quiet from now on in . I was a little surprised by your restaurant comments. I understand on the first night you were unhappy with how the salmon was cooked and I fully... More

Overall building, decor and facilities worn out and not welcoming.Room stuffy, a.c. could not be altered to be comfortable. Lift broken, doors each side out of order. Breakfast was not healthy, cereal stale, had to eat with teaspoons, water for tea just warm and overpriced. Bedroom was clean, receptionist pleasant.

The old style four storey hotel is currently undergoing renovations to the ground floor. The rooms, accessed by the old one old lift, were fine - clean and comfortable. All our rooms our fitted with our new tripple glazed windows which doesn't leave way for opening windows but does provide a very quiet stay. Thank you for providing the feedback on our staff, much appreciated. More
