Nice motel, great staff, very friendly but ...... Its an older motel. Everything a traveler needs with a 70's feel. Bed, TV, and shower were fine, just don't want to oversell the room. Great staff (owner?), service and help was second to none. I'll be back.

I thought to myself after i couldn't get in to the no 1 hotel in burnie ill try the no 2. Best western are usually a pretty solid bet but this one surely is slipping from the group and should be part of the budget motel group. I opened my room and it was like a time machine back to... More

Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. I am sorry that I was not aware of any concerns during your stay. We have a variety of room types available, the majority with 'triple sheeting'. During the next 12 months all bedding will be of this nature, as per Best Western International requirements. I apologise for your 'older style'... More

Stayed one night, not a great selection of accommodation in Burnie. The rooms are quite old and could do with a little touch up. Fine if you are happy to have a clean room with a bed. They did have the heater on prior to our arrival which was fantastic. Free paper delivered in the morning.

This was my second visit to Murchison Lodge in a year and my original assessment that it's a great place to stay still stands. It is not luxurious but is clean, quiet and comfortable and is really good value. As well, the staff is welcoming and friendly and that wins me over every where I go.

Very clean and tidy older style accommodation. It is a little dated but in great condition and well looked after. Friendly and helpful staff. A great location just outside of Burnie, very quiet with no trains and wharf noise like locations in the city. We had 3 meals in the restaurant and they were all high quality at reasonable prices.... We stayed at this motel for two nights while visiting the area (Burnie & Stanley). The room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was good. The young woman at reception was friendly and very enthusiastic. No complaints on any counts.

We booked one night and stayed two. Very friendly and helpful manager, nothing was too much trouble for her. The motel is a bit dated, but don't be put off, it is exceptionally clean & comfortable, and there is the most wonderful beach across the road which we had almost to ourselves. When the tide is high the water comes... More

We had a wonderful stay, the rooms were comfortable & peaceful. The staff were very friendly and caring. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing A+++++ The parks and surrounding area is beautiful, and Cam River is lovely and we all enjoyed our stay & would love to return one day.
