We had the pleasure to stay at the Duck house during Christmas 2015. The place was fantastic. The location was good and breakfast provided was wonderful. This was the best accommodation we had whilst in Tasmania. My children absolutely loved the place and it was wonderful place to return to and relax after a long day of exploring Tasmania. If... Stayed at Mrs Philpott's for two nights December 2015. The facilities, location and amenities are first rate - well done to Lynne and Titch! Would definitely stay again in this welcoming and homely place.

We stayed for three days in early November in Mrs Phillpot's, one of the period houses available for holiday rental. Although there were only two of us, we appreciated the extra space of the Edwardian home, beautifully presented in a country style garden. Lyn greeted us and showed us around the house and even gave us two sets of keys... More

The house was absolutely gorgeous & our host Lynne was so lovely & helpful advising us on things to do locally. The bedrooms were all beautifully appointed, the living room was very luxurious and with 2 bathrooms (including a claw foot tub) there was plenty of room for all 4 of us. The breakfast provisions were ample & we enjoyed... More

The Duck House is actually three cottages - "The Duck House", "Mrs. Philpotts" and "Amelia's". As I write this, I am cosy and happy in the sitting-room of "Mrs Philpotts". I'm meant to be going out shortly to see a show - but I don't want to go out! It's so cosy, so comfortable. I'd much prefer to stay here,... More

The house is spacious with good size bedrooms, bathroom and living areas. The kitchen, dining and lounge areas provide everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The location is great... More

We had stayed here the first time about 13 years ago. And it was still just as lovely this time. All the things that you would expect from a historic B&B. Fully DIY breakfast provisions provided. We had our 18month old with us as well which was fine - more than enough room for a portacot in the 2nd bedroom... More
