Stayed here when tasmania was being ravaged by a big wind storm with heaps of rain. a nice room and right the pub with delicious food. Room has everything u need comfy bed, plenty of room, clean bathroom and great view. Bruny island cheese co. Is a must be prepared to indulge and the smokehouse is very overrated and pricey.

We stayed 2 nights on our recent trip in the motel units next to the pub and whilst basic, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was comfy, warm and had everything we needed. We dined at the pub both nights and were looked after fabulously by the wonderful staff with our reserved table by the fireplace in such chilly weather.... More

Stayed at the hotel units overnight. Very comfortable, warm, quiet and clean units. The view from our front door was amazing. Sunset over the island was amazing. Excellent value. We had dinner at the hotel that evening. A 10 out of 10 for the food, atmosphere and warmth of the open fire. Oysters were to die for. We had a... More

After arriving later than expected with a delayed flight from Sydney the staff were super friendly and stayed open for us to have the best pub meal ever. Food is amazing at the pub. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and well worth the price. Have been recommending a visit to friends and will be back!

Stopped here as part of our tour of Bruny Island, it was included in the price of the tour and did not disappoint. All meals were sourced from local produce and it a lovely location. It was a very busy day but lunch was presented it a timely fashion and was more appealing than the usually local pup fare.

As I sit at my computer writing this I can look to the left and enjoy one of the best views I have encountered since I have lived in Australia (I come from a smaller island in the Northern Hemisphere and am totally rapt by this one). I have read some of the reviews before mine and I honestly think... More

Spoke to owner directly from the ferry that offered the best price. David was more than obliging and the room was most comfortable. They need to rethink the hair dryer (it wouldn't blow the skin off a custard ;) ) and also maybe a full length mirror for the ladies comfort. The restaurant in the hotel itself served scrumptious food... More

We called into this pub a couple of times during our stay on Bruny Island. Exceptionally friendly staff and good pub meals - biggest chicken parmy. Reasonably priced bottle shop. Great water views. Look forward to calling in on our next trip for a cold one.

This hotel is situated with a view of d'entracastreaux channel, and the food is divine. It is May 2014 and it is chilly though the sun is shining. This hotel serves meals all day, and is open 7 days. There is a great bistro and bar and the open fires are going. We had oysters Kirkpatrick and mixed seafood grill... More

I stayed 4 nights in May whilst attending a photographic workshop. There are 2 motel units a short distance from the Hotel bar/ restaurant. The units don't look much from the outside, but contain everything you could want - comfortable bed, good bathroom, kettle and tea/ coffee and toaster. The view is gorgeous. The Hotel staff are friendly and efficient,... More
